The racist Confederacy lost a civil war over 150 years ago, yet the racist republican base gets offended TO THIS DAY if you try to take down any of their monuments to evil, or try to ban their racist flag from sporting events, so apparently symbols to evil men (I mean he built it, it's still his building symbolically, a symbol of his failures, and thus taking it away is a symbol of moving on) and evil movements last a lot longer than you think, and taking them down at any point is a win for all decent people. as a working theory though, I would propose that the bigger your contempt for Trump, mine is massive, plus the more you find him to be how he is by choice, I can’t get there with that, the more inclined you are to see significance in, and take pleasure in his failures.
