Trump picks Exxon Mobil's CEO.. how much worse can it get?

As somebody who really cares about air pollution and global warming, it's needless to say i'm really concerned with Trump picking Exxon's CEO Tillerson as Secretary of State. Can this get any worse for the environment? Anyody knows anything we can do coming 4 years to minimize Tillerso'n impact? Alot of times I hear people like Elon Musk and Al Gore say that the shift to renewable energy is no longer depending on government but is that really true. As I see it they can do alot more harm in the next 4 years or am I wrong?
