The USPS has to compete with others in the parcel business so a unilateral price increase might be a big mistake.

You know this because unlike our idiot president, you aren't a moron and you at least have a basic understanding of how to run a business.

You should look for the truth. Sorry, princess.

Oh, wait, that took 30 sec. You fucking hack. At least, esky has some integrity.

So I read it. And while GOP members claim abuse, I see no verified valid cases of abuse used as evidence. Why?

The only example I'm given is they targeted payday lenders. But offer no proof and the government denies it. By any measure, payday lenders are predatory scum.

So you keep pointing to claims as evidence. Do you understand the difference between claims and evidence?

I think I read a while ago that Highland was in the payday loan business.

It's hilarious how the standards of proof change on this board.

The standard of proof is more than just a claim by one party with no evidence whatsoever to support it.

Always has been.

That's why we reject conspiracy theories, anti-vaxx claims and Big Foot too.

Meanwhile, why does your side want to stop a program that targets money launderers, payday scams, fraud and predatory practices?

Because the only evidence that DOES exist is that the programs targeted these.

And finally, this whole side chat is just a failed attempt at whataboutism.

Why cant you guys address the issue, rather than trying to claim someone else did it too?

Amazon should dump the USPS and do its own delivery. Let Trump figure out how to keep USPS afloat without Amazon. Rural Trump Trash is going to be the one that will get screwed by this the most, since they are the ones getting subsidized by other USPS customers.

The USPS was forced to provide 74 years of benefits funding up-front, tough to make a profit with that on your balance sheet. I don't see how Amazon could come up with that " last mile" delivery system and do so on the cheap, since the USPS traverses these homes/business daily regardless if they have mail or not, that's infrastructure cost Amazon does not have to worry about. As much as I despise Trump Amazon is not farther behind, that avoid paying taxes at every opportunity, hold civic leaders hostage with jobs promises with new distribution centers. Then when an area opens a center, it's staffed with temp workers as much as possible at the lowest wage possible. Trader Joe's opened a DC here in Daytona and did the exact same thing, they got cheap land, tax concessions, then employ 75% temp workers. These positions have no benefits, + crappy pay, this is the future of America, local shops close due to being priced out and crap-tastic jobs, (if any) replace them. I guess we all have some blame in this, Amazon offers us a way to get all our "stuff" as cheap as possible without ever leaving home, few of us ever thinks what the real, hidden cost is in the long run.

I love Amazon and Trader Joe's. We pretty much where we shop. Local shops here are getting priced out because of greedy landlords, and Amazon lets me as a customer avoid paying their ridiculous rents. As far as benefits, that's for the government to fix, not Amazon. You can't expect Amazon's customers to pay into the health care money pit, when the government is not doing anything to cap out of control cost increases. Local shops don't usually provide benefits either.

Well I shop at Amazon too, who doesn't?, my prime membership is up for renewal on the 29th, I'm on the fence about renewal. The selection of streaming is sub-par, but the free 2 day shipping is awesome. I'd imagine your local landlords would begin lowering rents sooner rather than later, or else face empty properties with no one to rent to. As far as benefits our "system" cannot ever be fixed as long as insurance companies are in the mix, think of the billions we pay so a middle-man can reap profits. Pharmaceutical Co's make too much $$, some Dr's make too much $$, this adds in as well, local shops simply cannot afford reasonable health care plans either. More and more many just go without and visit an emergency room, many are forced to file bankruptcy after a serious illness, it's just a sad situation all around.

Sad situation, but don't expect Amazon to pass the sadness to their customers . It's not our problem that people are voting for politicians who do nothing about health care. I am not going to pay more for my Amazon stuff so that a drug company CEO can get his 8 figure bonus.

BTW, Trader Joe's is known for some of the best benefits in the grocery business. I would double check your information before you paint them with too broad of a brush.

You will if Amazon changes their business model.
