Agree, but is that worse than businesses getting preferential treatment from the government because they hire the right lobbyists?

Yes. It is several orders of magnitude worse. Attempting to influence government is what everyone does. This is government attempting to suppress dissent.

Not surprisingly conservatives who screamed about this under Obama were projecting.

Did he order a review of all the contracts or just Amazon?

Why did the wp say Amazon and other firms and not Company X and other firms?

Could it be because they knew it would trigger the TDS suffering, headline reading fucktards into clicking on the website and some faux outrage in support of the papers owner?

Nah.

You realize the president himself has directly stated that Amazon is a target of this, right?

Jesus Christ.

I see your point, but I would argue that the current lobbying environment is far more insidious than "attempting to influence government" would suggest.

operation choke point sure didn't make me happy either.

Odd that you would defend fraud and money laundering but that’s your business. For a lot of people tribalism is more important but I feel sorry for you.

I hope you’re able to look at things more rationally soon.

Let me get this straight, you are equating government regulators going after businesses with a high risk of committing fraud and money laundering as the same as going after a business that controls a paper that writes bad stuff about the president?

You are one stupid mother fucker!

Imagine the outrage if President Hillary Clinton went after a subsidy of Fox News to punish Roger Ailes(spelling?)
We probably have a posting record of Obama using the IRS to target conservative PACs.

I agree the current lobbying environment is deeply toxic. I just don’t think it’s as bad as the government attempting to suppress criticism.

Remember when Obama wouldn’t give interviews on Fox News?

Lol. We were so naive.

Amazon is shitty to many (all?) of its employees. That in no way makes it anywhere close to okay for the government to attack a business because it owns a news organization that is critical of the government.

I didn't say it was... in my next post I said it was too bad conservatives use the Post Office as a way to attack public institutions... having them raise rates for one customer rather than others is a round about way of attacking the Post Office.

Again my main point is I'm not going to side with someone just because they are attacked by Trump I'm going to look at the person who is being attacked.

See above, educate yourself.

I don't agree with your politics but you're not stupid. No difference from the OP.

You’re going to have to explain.
Why? Google

Operation choke point should have been a good thing, fraud/pyramid schemes/money laundering and all. But the last admin hated some groups so they added licensed/regulated busines. Used the FDIC to tell banks that they "should not" do business with these entities. Gun/ammo sales were the 1st...

whatever... you can look at the facts or not. I don't care. It was wrong and just like the OP.

I looked it up and all I saw were more of the same, Republican bullshit and hand waving.

So are you a fucking liar or are you just repeating Republican talking points?

You should look for the truth. Sorry, princess.

Oh, wait, that took 30 sec. You fucking hack. At least, esky has some integrity.

Ahahaaa! You stupid fuck! So when I said operation choke point was Republican bullshit and hand waving, you link me to an article that says just that?

The move hands a big victory to Republican lawmakers who charged that the initiative — dubbed "Operation Choke Point" — was hurting legitimate businesses.

Karl Frisch, executive director of Allied Progress, blasted the letter as “a massive giveaway to predatory payday lenders and other shady financial scam-artists.

“Operation Choke Point has been incredibly effective at cracking down on the flow of money to fraudulent merchants that violate the law and target vulnerable consumers,” Frisch said in a statement.

But Republicans in Congress have argued that the program hindered banks from serving legitimate businesses and tried to get officials to back off by using legislation and investigative powers.

Lol thanks! I'd say your post qualifies for a nomination for self ownage of the year!

Sadly this has become Bezos is hated by Trump so everything Bezos does is guided by a higher power.

If Bezos treated his employees as well as Costco does theirs it'd be a lot easier to take sides though.

apparently it took articles like the one above for fullfilment centers to get better for employees

but there are still some interesting things on the horizon
