Next time the Dems try to filibuster whatever bullshit the GoP is up to, they'll get rid of the filibuster citing "obstruction" Democrats. The conservative base cheers as Trump becomes the guy "Breaking all the rules" and getting things "done" after years of obstruction. They're so stuck in that mode after doing it for eight years to Obama that they're now doing it to themselves. Imagine that.

And not only that, their House is looking to pass a piece of shit health replacement bill that they know won't pass the Senate simply because they want to appear to be and be able to half-ass claim that they're doing something "to assist the folks who need help with paying their medical bills." All they want is to appease their support base, and they know that passing ANYTHING is going to get gobbled up by their base and touted loudly and proudly as "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED". Then, as others have already pointed out, the House Repubs will blame the Dems when that fake bait shit bill goes up in flames in the Senate. The Senate Repubs will try to appear to fight the Dems and make a good show of it, but it's all been previously scripted right down to the crocodile tears McConnell will shed as he bravely takes the hits the Dems are slamming him with.

How this shit works time and again for the Repubs is testament to the idiocy and willful gullibility that their base is willing to.......well, debase themselves in order to keep the faith. Only 2% of them caught on to the scam Trump has been victimizing with? Sad.

No matter how the Dems point out that the new plan would give a huge tax cut to the wealthy and take things away from the working class to in part finance the cuts, it will be totally ignored by the Repub base simply because they don't want to hear it. All their base want to hear is how the ebil Dems blocked the wonderful terrific health plan that Trump and the Repubs offered to the nation.

And now we have Trump threatening to shut things down because he can't get his way. The idiot still doesn't know how gov't works and what the consequences of his spoken word has on the nation, if not the world.

The problem with him as I see it, is that he considers himself a celebrity first and being president as a result of his celebrity status.

In some way he's partially right as far as his celebrity status helping him get elected, but it's for all the wrong reasons. That's why he cares so much for how he appears to the public at large, little knowing that his being paranoid over his status as a celeb is wreaking havoc on his job as POTUS. Dump in his narcissism and fragile ego and well, just look at what's happened because of it.
