Trump must surely be considering resigning from office by now.

I feel so bad for his loyal supporters having to watch their Chosen One get taken down piece by piece by the 14 Deep State Democrats in the FBI as they're directed by Hillary Clinton and Obama.

And don't tell me I'm imagining things. I got that info straight out the mouths of Trump and those folks from FOX so it must be true, right? /s

As was mentioned in the Cohen thread, this immunity deal is so far limited to the hush money payments funneled through Cohen. It doesn't cover any other potential crimes of the Trump organization or of Trump himself.

My prediction is, look for the scope of this to widen after Trump starts trashing Weiselberg over Twitter. Trump burned his bridges with Cohen and will probably do so with Weiselberg as well.

So he'll call Weiselberg a Weisel on twitter? And Pecker a Pecker?

I don't. They'll just double down on the conspiracy crazy and they won't go down or away easy...just like Trump won't. I'd be shocked if he just meekly resigned like Nixon (which means he will probably do just that, considering my Trump prediction % hovers somewhere around zero....)

Whatever schoolyard putdowns Trump uses, the net effect will likely be the same. Cohen turned on Trump the minute Trump started trashing him.

Next tweet:

Immunity deals should be illegal
I'm actually curious whether a President would have any say over immunity deals...could he direct his AG to cancel any agreements pending a review, or issue an EO that changes the rules for how they're structured? That's all executive branch stuff under DOJ, correct?

Here’s how it’s going to go down.

One night after a few days to losses on the DOW, Trump will pardon everyone. He’ll go on a conservative press tour saying he’s doing it for the good of the country since the stock market has been hurt by the investigation and that’s hurting American families.
They’ll be some outrage but it will subside.

That's very true. It never pans out. Things are different now in how the future plays out since we have two Constitutionally separate entities involved. First of course are the Feds- Mueller, the SDNY, IRS and others.

But now it gets interesting with NY involvement. With the Manhattan Attorney pursuing a criminal investigation of the Trump Org, an expansion of that investigation seems inevitable and while Mueller may give broad immunity to individuals there is no mandate that a state has to honor that agreement and can indeed use testimony and evidence given at the federal level to use in a prosecution of the very same person.

My guess is that at some point Trump will quit due to unspecified health problems and all on going investigations will stop.

That will never happen because

a) Trump never gives up. Good or bad he never gives up because that is a loss

b) Trump would never publically admit to not being the healthiest, bigliest man on the planet

To be honest this immunity feels like the only real one - well, along with Cohen...

But as far as the stormy daniels shit - I don't think you're ever going to get impeachment over that.

Wow have the goal posts moved. Hmm, lying to justice about a BJ gets impeachment in the House, but having multiple affairs, lying about them, paying off people not to tell about the affairs, no big deal.

Just read that Weisselberg has been given "Complete Immunity From Prosecution" rather than just simply "Use Immunity" suggesting he has ALL the goods.

So yeah, this is going to extend way past Cohen.

Calm yourself brolociraptor.

I'm not stating what I FEEL that he should be impeached or not impeached for. I'm stating my opinion on what I feel is likely to get him impeached.

My reasons for stating such are:
1) Having an affair isn't illegal
2) He never said it under oath
3) Republican controlled senate/house tells me that wouldn't be enough for them.

Just heard something interesting

This guy hasn’t been charged with anything so no pardon can be issued
