It's either the lowest bidder got the job and what followed is what's expected of that kind of shoddy work OR the highest bidder got the job who is most certainly connected to Trump in one corrupt way or another under the "share the wealth" tradition that our corrupt politicos and business folks have practiced over the decades that will again result in shoddy work due to their efforts to maximize profits.

Either way, us taxpayers end up holding the bag and end up paying for repairs or rebuilds that will of course be shoddy work that we will forever be paying to maintain, repair or rebuild with more shoddy work.
Article and quote in the OP says it was blown over while the concrete still hadn't set. In other words, they just put it up. The concrete didn't have time to harden before the wind came and blew it over.

Maybe the builder should have some temporary reinforcement in place until the concrete dries.

Or maybe they should stop trying to build concrete walls across two thousand miles of desert.

that sounds like extra, unnecessary cost that Trump would never approve.
It's not the actual building of the wall that's important. It's the making motions as if you are building it, after you've scared your racist worshippers into believing they need it because a brown horde is supposedly coming to invade and kill them.

...Oh, and the pocketing of taxpayer money in any sort of skimming-off-the-top operation you can get away with, too. THAT is REALLY important! ;)

He's just not chosen the right contractor. He needs expertise from China.;)

Maybe he did...

right. the more money you spend on doing it properly means the less money laundered through Trump-controlled crony contractors.

Biden should have an easy time debating trump.

You said you were going to build a wall so where is it

You said hilary was getting locked up and she didn't

You said repeal and place was going to happen and it didn't

You said you were going whip china into shape and didn't

Then piick a couple popular bible verses and ask him if he knows them.... when he can't recite even roughly what they are, tell con man, drop the mike and walk out.

Trump began his term promising to build a wall to protect America from the world.
He ends it building a wall to protect himself from Americans.
He went on for a year about how great walls were, and how great they worked, yet when behind multiple walls he chooses to hide in the basement.

See, they made those buildings like lego blocks where if they fall over you just have to stand them back up again only next time prop them up with bamboo poles like maybe the wall contractors should have on Trump's wall, or maybe they should have left the concrete forms up a bit longer, but then that would cost more than if the wall fell down and have to start over again? lol

Bottom line, there is no plausible excuse for why the wall fell over except one, that being cost cutting, of which is not an excuse, it's a direct probable cause.

What a metaphor for this administration
Yes.

And, this makes me really sad... The U.S. actually meant something, once. Ok, so it was a lie, built on seven kinds of violence, hate and discrimination, but it was a nice dream to cling on to anyhow. A vision of a land, a place, where a person coming from low means could accomplish great things.

Americana, rock'n'roll, coca-cola, burgers and fries, apple pie, drive-in movie theatres and three gallon hats. Sky scrapers higher than anywhere else unabashedly reaching for the stars, shining million-dollar celebrity grins, big cars, big steaks, scientists with little more than slide rules and big brains building rockets taller than the length of a football field that could fly to the moon, and long long roads stretching across the wide-open plains towards blue-hazed mountains in the far distance.

All that stuff... Where did it go?

The big cars are now big, stupid, useless lifted pickup trucks "rolling coal", there's angry hateful men screaming pure bile about poor people coming from other countries on both TV and the internet, when the U.S. itself was founded and built by immigrants. Experts are idiots, while regular people with gut feeling are the new experts.

And an orange moron, who wanted to spend countless billions on an ineffectual wall based on nothing but lies, which ends up falling over in the wind. Such a waste.

Such a god damn waste!
