It's brilliant...who would ever blame the people in power.

Just everyone I guess.

Just to be clear when he says "let it fail" what he really means is "leave it in place while we actively sabotage it." It is questionable as to whether it would have actually failed had Congress and the White House not dicked around with the mandate, CSRs, 3 Rs, and other key components.

I thought the eventual failure of our current system was the end game for proponents of single-payer anyway.

Am I wrong... He has threatened not to pay Insurers (with the people's tax dollars!)?

True but there is no good reason to let people die before we move to a single payer system. There are lots of bad reasons to do so and damn it if the Republicans aren't going to run the complete list.

Facts don't matter to the Trumpsters. They believe in Donald Trump. It's inconceivable to them that he's screwing them over.

Failure isn't required. It can be accomplished to the degree necessary by creating a govt option in the Exchange.

So the president just promised a rain of misery onto a large number of citizens, to celebrate their illnesses, to cheer the bankruptcies, and wait like a drooling hyena to prey upon the suffering to further his own.

I know, so it's so much better to look forward to a reign of misery upon all citizens, celebrate their freedom from choice, cheer sameness mistaken for equality, and wait like a drooling bureaucrat ready to prey upon the suffering of others to justify their own existence.

How is that a "plan"? Trump never had a plan, and he never will. He's accomplished nothing to date and I'm not sure he'll get anything done in his term. His one accomplishment--appointing a conservative judge to fill Scalia's seat--really belongs to Mitch McConnell and Judicial Crisis Network.

As I recall didn't he already do things like shorten the signup period, eliminate funds for advertising when and how to sign up, etc. For a while at least he was not funding the subsidies to insurers.

The Trump concept of let it fail is more akin to we will cut the funding and resources and then say I told you so when it does fail.

I don't see how this is going to punish the GOP senators who stood up to his horrible plan in any event.

I wonder if he will do the same thing in Iraq, as he claims he always opposed that war from the beginning.

I think you know that the rest of the first world have better healthcare overall for half the cost, so the question is what you're looking to get out of pretending otherwise.
