Trump might not run, and here is why I think he would not run.

If you were voting in the Republican Primary elections, AND YOU HAD TO VOTE, who would you vote for

  • Katherine Schwarzenegger (Arnold Schwarzenegger's daughter)

  • Steve Womack (US House - Arkansas 3)

  • Tate Reeves (Govenor of Mississippi)

  • Doug Burgum (Govenor of North Dakota)

  • Mike Huckabee(Former Govenor of Arkansas)

  • Jenna Bush Hager (Daughter of George Bush)

Results are only viewable after voting.

First off, the way he reacted to the election results was seen in the outcome of the senate races. Imagine 2024, he might even loose Alaska. By the way... Alaska was the the state that had the highest swing ratio towards Democrats with Democrats not winning that state in 2020. 154K to 184K. That close. However, I made a anonymous poll for the following. If you were voting in the Republican Primary elections, AND YOU HAD TO VOTE, who would you vote for if Trump did not run?

From the overall bunch, probably Katherine Schwarzenegger... she's not experienced in politics, but if her dad is any indication, she'd probably be one of those precious few modern Republicans to exhibit compassion and make fact-based decisions.

Of the experienced politicians, maybe Doug Burgum. From what I've seen, he's one of the few that might have a heart (he called the Republican LGBT policy divisive). Definitely not Huckabee or Reeves; they don't have a moral fiber in their bodies.

With that said, this would be a pretty sad primary lineup. A mix of largely inexperienced people with people whose experience isn't exactly a ringing endorsement.

Some conservative diehards like to claim the Democrats are unfocused, but I suspect the Republicans might be the ones in disarray come 2024. It could be a battle between Trumpists, old guard GOP and maybe even ones trying to drag the party into the 21st century. It might depend on how the 2022 midterms go... if Republicans lose again, they probably won't present a united front in 2024.

None of the above.

This.
I’m not sure if he will run again. His completely obsessed narcissism and inflated ego will say to run.
His inner voice will say why bother when it is rigged against me, just easier to complain and say how great I would be.
The former President is severely mentally ill. Nobody wouldn’t be concerned if a Parent acted like him or a child acted like him.
Nobody would be married to someone like him (minus the money).
Nobody would call him a true friend.

The man has a heavily damaged mind.

Trump is done. He'll probably set up some kind of Trump party, but I doubt that will last four years.
I have no idea who the republican's will run against Harris in 2024, but that person better be solid to have a shot at winning. I expect Newsom will challenge Harris on the dem side.

As unappealing as the prospect is to me, Jr. should probably be on that list. I think he would get trashed as he lacks the inexplicable charisma of his father, but while I don't know which one it will be, I'd be very surprised if there isn't *a* Trump in the Republican primary for '24.

I think his narcissistic mind was traumatized by losing this time, and he's afraid he'll lose again. I don't think he's thoroughly convinced it was rigged against him. He may act like it, even in private, but on some level he realizes he doesn't have any evidence.

I will never vote R again PERIOD. They have burned their name for anyone not stupid enough to lap up their dogshit. Those same people will claim I have never voted R because I am a extreme illiberal because that's everyone who doesn't eat up their bullshit. I used to vote based on the person. Well... I still do to a degree, but it's a less challenging field when R is a automatic disqualifier.

I wouldn't be surprised, either. It's entirely possible they'll try to bank on that name no matter what its actual worth is by 2024. They probably won't make it through, though... I sure hope not, at least. Imagine all the corruption and incompetence of Trump, but without the business legacy (such as it is) or the "I think talking loudly makes me important" charisma.

Is that a list of people likely to run? I have not heard of Katherine Schwarzenegger even considering it. She would barely be 35 years old (by one month) when taking office. I don't even know her politics except that she endorsed Joe Biden this time.

Why aren't Nikki Haley, Josh Hawley or Ted Cruz in there? All are considered likely. I also wouldn't be surprised if Rubio tried again.

35 is the point... Hint hint, what is the majority of age demographics for the Democrats?

I'd vote for the one least likely to win the general unless it was someone truly unqualified and horrible like another Trump. There was a point in my life where I might have considering voting for a Republican, that ended sometime in the 90s when they started heading even further toward the right and amped up the fear-mongering. I realized then my voting was always going to be for the lesser evil--whoever has the best chance of beating the Republican-- and it makes voting pretty easy (other than the crazy state amendments, those can be confusing and tricky.)

If the GOP completely reinvents itself maybe I'll consider them again. I consider that extremely unlikely, unless it's to morph into something even worse, if that's possible. They've embraced the persona of xenophobe zealot "patriot" and sadly, looking at the last election, minorities are even buying into it. Which is a little bit like roaches voting for Raid, but they have their reasons (like Trump being more "macho", something that came out in polls of Hispanics here in FLA....or buying the bullshit of illegals being the downfall of society, coming to rape our women etc)

2024 repub pick will be Haley, notice how she’s come out of hiding since Trump lost.

It seems Nikki's waiting for that cosmetic surgeon to come remove the Gorilla Glue she used to attach her lips to Trump’s ass. I’m not sure there’s a plastic surgeon in the world who can repair the damage she must be inflicting by speaking out of so many different sides of her face.
Yet another brave, brave Republican who criticizes Trump when she has no constituents to answer to. She’s repositioning her portfolio, selling MAGA shares and putting some back into RINO. It sounds like Nikki’s new position is “I don’t like Trump anymore, but please don’t come burn my house down.”

Nikki, like so many others on the right, is counting on her connection to Trump to pull in his followers. Like all of them, she doesn’t seem to realize that Trump followers aren’t loyal to an ideology, it’s Trump personally they worship. They worship Trump today. After Trump behaved like a standard archetypical populist tyrant wannabe. They have proven they’re willing to worship that archetype. Trump is just the current incarnation. Even if Trump anoints her as his successor - unlikely - she’s still female, not as white as they like, and will have stiff competition from his other coattail clowns and most likely Ivanka. So she’s not likely to succeed in her cowardly charade.

There's no chance I will ever vote for a Republican. I never have and never will. Considering what's happened the last 5 years, I consider it a solemn duty and make an inviolable oath TO NEVER VOTE FOR A REPUBLICAN... EVER EVER EVER!!!

I consider it my patriotic duty to do whatever I can to DESTROY THE REPUBLICAN PARTY!

As far as jihads go, I guess that's as good as any. The only issue is you have but two weapons to use in that fight, money and your vote. We know where you're vote is going, so how much money do you plan on investing in this endeavor?

That is not true. We also have our time. Time to volunteer. To service the phone banks. To go door to door in the post covid world.

We also have our voice. Our voice in the remains of our families ( Trump shattered mine ), our voice online, and our voice at work (when appropriate).

and yes, it is true I donated far more money this last election year then I ever have before. In a way I dislike that part the most. It seems as if the TV news networks, facebook, etc created the divide in our country, and then profit off the advertisements from the two sides desperately fighting. Elections are big business now, and not in a good way. Corporations seek to divide us, and then sell ammunition to us as we fight each other.

If Trump runs, we have to deal with him.

I'm not obsessed with him. Let's Unite and try to help those who are the most suffering.

Republican base will never vote for a Indian woman. They are way too racist.

At least a plurality of them

I would, I like Nikki Haley. I think she did a great job as the Governor of SC.

I know a lot of republicans that would.

You forget, and it's quite the blunder, you can spread the truth, cripple the purveyors of lies, if you care, and I most certainly do!
