Trump met with Obama, and so far so good.

Don't think we will see the Obama team taking all the Ts off the keyboards like the Clinton admin did with the Ws. Bush was incredibly gracious and helpful to the Obama transition team and I suspect they will do the same here.

we are going to see Trump get to work trying to do his best for the country.
Even though the Drumpf is a clown, I have no problems believing he has good intentions.

But the Republicans voters must realize that they will now get Newt, Rudy and Chris Christy in office. No matter what Trumps intentions are, those dozens of old Republicans and old Neo-Cons are eager to start messing up your country in true old-fashioned Republican style. Trickle down baby ! Where's the next war ?

If this were a normal election cycle I would agree without reserve. But least anyone forget, he blitzkrieged the GOP and all of its most popular members. I would not count on the GOP having everything rubber stamped the way some fear will happen.

Rudy Guliani
Chris Christie
Newt Gingrich
Sarah Palin
Ben Carson (on education !)
some guy from Goldman Sachs
some guy from the oil industry

What do you really think 4 years of Trump will look like.
His unexperienced unpolitical ass is gonna be owned by the Republican establishment.

Acting with what appears to be a great deal of seriousness and humbleness. Seems to already be soliciting Obama's advice. I think the stage show is over, and we are going to see Trump get to work trying to do his best for the country. Or that is my fervent hope anyways.

You really haven't been paying attention at all for the last year, have you?

Obama's behavior is disgraceful, and insulting to everyone who supported him. The proper thing to do was to say "I'm deeply disappointed in the results of the election, but I will honor the democratic process and vacate the office in January. In the meantime, me and my administration will do everything it can to protect the people that are personally threatened by the promises and rhetoric of the incoming administration."

Oh, he should also refuse to leave office until Merrick Garland is confirmed or rejected.

And think of it. Your support for an unelectable candidate helped his cause! I'm sure Trump supporters thank you.

Well this happens when two piles of crap that people dislike more than not are the only real offerings. Better luck next time- for the US that is.

When GWB supports Clinton you know that Trump is not loved by the mainstream. Anyway, didn't someone here say that Trump was going to treat Obama horribly and make him bow? I'm pretty sure there was something like that ;)

People crave disaster so they can have validation. Sad but true.

An unelectable candidate that will probably finish with 2 million more votes than Trump. You know, that eminently qualified, racist, fascist, rapist, narcissistic, compulsive liar? Yeah, the people that are really to blame are the ones that voted for her. Sizzling take mate. Fuck you.

I feel for Obama. Must be grueling to have to make the motions to Trump

But he did it with graciousness. I never voted for Obama but my admiration for him has been on a steady rise. He and (Bill) Clinton are the type of leaders the GOP hasn't had in a while - candidates who could actually inspire people to vote FOR them, not just because they weren't the other side.

So you believe Trump is all of those things, and yet Clinton still lost to THAT guy? So what does that say about Clinton?

The GOP ran Trump, and the Dems turned a gift-wrapped White House into a contest to find someone arguably worse. How'd that work out for them, and for America? We could've had Sanders . . .

Holy shit, the expressions on their faces. The woman crying in the 2nd pic is just sad.

It's tradition to trash the place when they leave, wonder if they're going to keep up the tradition...

Doesn't say much about Clinton, says everything about the electorate.

So the election of Trump is Clinton's fault and the fault of her supporters. Got it.

Fuck you.

Those two words pretty much sum up most discussions here but I'll try once and then you can say the same all over

She didn't get elected. Deal with it because it turned out in fact that she was unelectable. Who's taking office next? Not her.

You blame me and everyone else but your brain is stuck on election mode apparently. Remember when this process got underway and Bernie was the upstart? He consistently beat most Republicans. Other candidates? I believe that was also true. The one in most trouble matched up against someone you should have trounced? Hillary. Debbie conspired to sabotage campaigns of others. The outcry? Oh, "deal with it".

So of course we did, we had no choice. But Hillarites do not command us like dogs. Instead they lost their credibility and their way from what once was a frankly better party and became just like the Republicans as far as ideals went. You put up a corporate mouthpiece and we knew. Even Independent voters, and I don't mean third party supporters knew this.

The bottom line is that election night results reflected the result of Democrat actions in supporting someone so bad that the person you cry about, perhaps with some justification, won.

And you blame me and everyone else and in effect act as if it were your and Hillary's Right of Kings (or Queen) to rule over the rabble. No, you had to earn our trust and you went about it in the most inept way possible.

When the next election come about I hope you people will have learned that principles, not skullduggery is, or was, you strength. The corporatist neocon who makes a fortune from her friends she's going to turn on, then bring peace while going to war with Assad?

What were you thinking?

Don't bother, I know and it's "fuck you".

Yeah no that wasn't during the meeting. That was during his post election comments the day before.

Trump didn't crap on the carpet and Melania actually wore shoes.
Go figure.....

It's going to depend on who Trump appoints to certain positions.

Trump himself is still a wildcard imo. I don't believe Trump is going to attempt to follow through on some of the more extreme platform / rhetoric he was representing before his election.
