DOJ called their bluff. Wonder how Trump's lawyers can argue to keep it sealed?

All the Pubs that were quick to defend Orange Julius Caeser could have mass egg on their faces That includes Ron DeShitface
Here’s how Machiavellian the move is, the Judge likely to approve or deny unsealing the warrant is the Judge who has been receiving threats from MAGA.
However I suspect it will remain sealed.
Appears the former President is really concerned Jared and possible Ivanka have flipped.

Hmm the rats actually do have a point they won’t cross? But here’s hoping these nuclear documents isn’t just something giving only benign info like total number of weapons without location. Anything else has to be considered treason.

Well, $2 billion from the Sauds over 4 years and with no delay between exchanges, personally to the Kushner family without any real public information as to what was exchanged....there's basically 1 or 2 possible options.

Where are you seeing that?

Something on the news and his old lawyer more or less confirmed they would likely be of concern.
First they’ve been trying to detangle their brand from Trump
Second Jared is terrified of going to jail because of his family history
Third particularly Jared kept a low profile post election loss

Judge Jeannine or whatever her name is started drinking early today

go-ahead-and-judge-me-judge-jeanine-pirro.gif

They’ve done that before. I remember an Onion article right after George W was elected where they had him say he was going to get us into at least 1 maybe two Gulf War sized conflicts and also crash the economy. It was basically a prophecy.

edit found it.

Can't wait to see what's DOJ next move(s), now that we have hard facts on Trump's illegal action(s) and it is treason territory if they can prove there was/planning knowledge transfer.

This and the 1/6? There isn't enough internet popcorn for this.

This is like a high stakes poker game. If the FBI didn't find what they were after this was one of the most wondrous things could have landed in the lap of Trump and the Republicans ... almost too perfect like a set up.

I’m no legal scholar.
Does releasing the warrant even need to be more complicated than:
The FBI wants them unsealed, the former President agrees in text (obviously the post would need to be verified as in the former President says it on camera or something similar)

Could the judge say okay everyone agrees fuck it documents are released as of now?

Wtf ... NUCLEAR ???

I mean yea ... that's probably worth a few rubles....

Yeah. The FBI have better found them or we're going to have total R control across the board by 2024. On the other hand, if the FBI did find actionable nuclear documentation then nobody will really have to worry about Trump again.

I sincerely doubt that, this is mostly asymmetric risk for Trump. If they do have something serious to convict him on it's bye bye for him. If it turns out to be piddly shit that's bad news for the FBI but nobody is going to give a shit by 2024.

Trump may have said "release them" in public, but his lawyers have not officially responded to the Judge in the courtroom.

I think you underestimate Republican messaging where they repeatedly whack the same thing over and over and over ... and over and over and over again some more. But OK. lol

I remember people saying the same thing about the Mueller report and I think we would all agree that had essentially zero impact on the 2020 election.

Again I’m no legal expert but cnn has something about Trump lawyers have until 3PM today to respond.
Yes, and he will almost certainly delay as long as possible. Much fewer people reading news on Friday afternoon/evening than Friday morning.
