Sure. Including human rights violations. If we got rid of the minimum wage, got rid of unions, healthcare and started paying everyone less than a dollar an hour our economy would be booming also.

They lock people in at these factories, build dormitories(basically jails) to house the laborers and there is no escape. People were committing suicide to get away. So they installed suicide nets at the dorms so they couldn't even kill themselves. This is pretty horrible shit.

I'm fine with China's tactics staying over there, thank you very much Mr. Trump.

Since when are dorms jails? The workers are not locked in, they wanted the work. Now they want higher wages and if the comoany doesn't raise their salary they walk.
It will take a mighty long time for work conditions to improve, but remember it beats dirt farming.

Because China is able to do this for the same reasons we were for a while: unfettered exploitation of vast resources, a ready source of impoverished millions willing to nearly kill themselves for a better (material) life, and environmental crimes. Worse than we did, in fact, since we were largely ignorant of the consequences of some of our early practices. But China goes full-steam ahead completely ignoring the lessons of nations who went before, has the benefit of trillions of dollars in gifted or stolen technology it did not develop.

IOW, the only way to compete with China is to roll-back wages AND environmental protections by 50+ years. What is there to do about it?
