The stupid thing is that they'll still pay the money to the insurers when they lose lawsuits in the Court of Claims. All this does is drive up premiums for no reason.

The reason that Repubs want the ACA to fail is that their billionaire backers don't want to pay the 3.8% surtax on income over $250K. Their incomes are so enormous that buying the Repubs is apparently cheaper & more profitable than paying that paltry %.
