I think it's concerning that people like you are more concerned with supposedly sticking it to democrats than the prospect of Donald Trump reaching the office of presidency. I'd bet most of Trump's supporters claim to be the biggest patriots ever. Claiming to love this country and wanting to see a buffoon like Trump represent us on the world stage are wholly incompatible. I think the RNC would quite possibly, and smartly, torpedo Trump's candidacy and cede the election to democrats before they allowed Trump to inflict such enormous damage on the Republican brand.

He's doing the damage right now, and it's only getting worse and worse, and the Republican base seems to be backing him all the way. I kind of like Trump just based on his immigration positions.

Incorrect, the last two presidential elections prove otherwise.

No, the last 2 elections prove the other thing I have been saying... Today's republican party is far FAR removed from the old style republican values of small govt., a low tax business friendly environment, govt out of people lives and above all personal responsibility. Today's republican party wants to tell women how to live, they want to tell consenting adults who they can and cannot marry, they are afraid of science and want our schools to teach disproven religious dogma and they clearly blame immigrants for all of their problems on a scale not seen since Germany in the 1930's.

THAT is why people vote liberal even though it's probably fiscally bad for all of us. Your ridiculous social values are killing your party. Guaranteed you wont win another national election until you fix the social part. Megan McCain is 100% correct on that.

The Democrats need to keep the scary right wing bogeyman going to keep the voters in line.

Of course, by "bogeyman", you mean Donald Trump, reality TV star, or Tailgunner Ted Cruz, sitting US Senator.

Sorry.

BothSides Don't do it.

One side is corrupt, unethical and bought and paid for. The other side is literally batshit insane and cannot compete with reality TV star Donald Trump.

I thought about your comment for a long time and I couldn't figure out which is which... Then it hits me, it's because both sides are bought and paid for and both sides are batshit insane.

People are so sick and tired of politics as usual.
Look at Hillary regardless of her emails.
Hillary, and the same goes for all the others on both sides, she gets up there and says, "We MUST IMPROVE THIS. WE MUST DO THAT. I WILL DO THIS. I WILL DO THAT IF ELECTED".
It is like they all, including the republicans, read from some scripted HOW TO RUN FOR THE PRESIDENCY pamplet.
The same old book they've all used in the past. One book for the democrats, one book for the republicans.
For them, that was how the game was played. And it always worked before. Election after election. Candidate after candidate. Party after party.

Then, comes along Donald Trump and says bull shet to all of that crap.
Donald is not about to follow anyones playbook.
Donald just makes it up as he goes along. No script. No game plan. Totally off the wall.

And all of the other candidates have this WTF look on their face.
As if they are saying, "HEY. THAT'S NOT THE WAY WE DO IT. THAT'S NOT THE WAY WE PLAY THE GAME. DONLAD IS NOT FOLLOWING THE RULES. THAT'S NOT FAIR."
And this is exactly why Donald is doing so well.

People have finally realized all this crap from run of the mill politicians and from their run of the mill campaigns has become like some old rerun movie.
And both democrat and republican voters are just sick and tired of the bs politicians feed us election cycle after election cycle.

Rick Santorum on Bill Maher is the perfect example.
All yapp yapp yapp like he was some robot toy you'd wind up and then watch his little show.
Hard headed as a block of wood.
Refusing to open his mind, refusing to consider any other viewpoint, pulling his talking points out of his rear end.
Then, insisting he is never wrong. "I'm right, you're wrong. End of discussion."

That is why politicians seldom do the bidding of those that elected them, or follow the desires of the general population. The population might poll 80 percent in favor of common sense gun control laws, but gun control never happens.
It never matters what the general population want of believe, politicians refuse to do their bidding.
Politicians elected into office go off on some self serving quest that the majority of people are against and opposed.
And the people wonder WTF is going on here?
This isn't what we voted for.
It is no wonder why the approval ratings for congress are disgraceful.
Something like only 8% approval from the general public.
Politicians talk the talk, but once elected never walk the walk.
And people wonder who exactly is this guy working for, that we put in office?

Donald breaks all the rules and exposed the hypocrisy of politics.
Donald tells it like it is, like it or not, with no holes barred.

Jeb is boring. Incapable of leadership. TRUE!
Rand Paul is a moron and a terrible golf player. TRUE!
Hillary is scandal ridden and forever will be. TRUE!
So on and so on, right down the line.

Everything Donald says is what people have been already thinking.
In the past, the Jeb's and the Hillary's were the only choices to chose from.
And why voter turnout was so disgracefully low, especially for a free democratic society.

Here comes Donald, and all the other guys and gals running don't know what to think.
How do they compete with this?
The candidates all cry, "Hey, I'm following all the rules. Following the game plan. Reading from the script. And it's not working this time. Not at all. So... what should I do?"
Should they attack Donald? Fight back? Maybe start acting like Donald? Or simply just ignore Donald?

Oh no! This is not politics as usual. Not this time. And this is absolutely terrifying for the establishment.
None of the other guys and gals running can understand why this is suddenly happening?
But Donald Trump knows. And the people know.
Even with the people that dislike Donald one thing is for sure, people have realized that politicians and politics in general have been full of baloney.
And this is exactly why Donald is catching on. Even with those that dislike him.
People that give Donald high negative marks in the polls will still support him.
None of the candidates against Donald can grasp this new concept, nor does the media understand it.

This just illustrates the depths for how politicians are so controlled by the special interest.
Politicians can't make a move, utter a word, unless it comes from their masters.
And the voting public are not their masters.

Just when the public thought all had been lose, all hope gone, along comes Donald Trump.
And we got to admit... We're all lovin it !!!
;)

??? Nope, I hit the nail on the head. Especially about both sides being "corrupt, unethical and bought and paid for". "insane" can depend on alot of things including personal opinion, but the corrupt from the ground up is definitely both of them.

Exactly. The sad thing is how many of these mouth breathers there are. I live here, I was born here and I love my country dearly, but god dammit I swear about 1/3 of US citizens are fucking morons. Utterly useless morons. This level of moron http://i.imgur.com/C6cLf2e.jpg

Those so called mouth breathers were your union card carrying, flag waving, solid democrat voter over 30 years ago that helped pass the labor, environmental (EPA), worker safety (OSHA) that all those illegals in your cute cartoon are used to circumvent because you phony liberals along with many conservative cheapskates don't want to pay for an American on the books.

No, sorry. That man in that rascal is a solid red Republican through and through :p

/edit, but yes, the "liberal" fiscal policies of the past several decades have caused alot of problems. That is the big issue with the left... They will pass laws based on "whatever" hot button issue of the day without any real plan to implement, or any idea what it will affect later... And it ALWAYS affects us later.

sportage, you are right on with your analysis. There's a lot not to like about Donald but the other guys are just liars. It doesn't even matter if you support those other candidates' policies because they will not enact those policies when elected.

TBH I wouldn't call Trump trustworthy either. I actually think that the "Mexican rapists", abortion and "Mexican wall" nonsense is intentionally hyped and that Trump has no intention to address any of the real problems America has.

Yes of course, Trump wouldn't have a problem enacting silly policies like, say, building his wall. And of course, no-one in the establishment (the 1%) would be threatened by a wall (or emotional topics such as abortion etc.), that's the beauty of it because it focuses the sheeple on irrelevant nonsense and the "Elites" will know that the current Status Quo, the current system, won't be affected. And this is INTENTIONAL.

I do not believe that Trump wants to implement major changes, he's a right winger/conservative after all. He won't attend to pressing "social" issues like Sanders would do. Otherwise he would have addressed them already rather than riding the "Mexican rapists" train.

Maybe, just maybe he is the biggest liar of all of them..with the difference he knows what buttons to press to appear as "genuine & honest" to some common folks.
