Trump has a live convo with National Asso. of Black Journalists in Chicago - and he actually nails it.

So coming from Off-topic...

@Perknose tolerates all your deviant & toxic behavior here?

Why can't we swear in Off-topic @Perknose!!! *Shakes fist* Different stadards for different categories of people? I'll tell the OT folks what you allow in here.

There will be an uprising.
The OT folks are welcome here. Just bring facts and be open to learning new things.

Denying observable reality and being intellectually dishonest does not end well here.

I still don't understand. The people weren't there to see a comedian, they were there primarily for a serious discussion. So I'm not sure why it's valuable to regard the audience response from the perspective of a stand-up audience.
He's claiming there was significant and sustained (throughout the event) good reaction to Trump from the audience. This is his opinion, and a lot of people disagree with it but he insists he's correct. I recognize it sounds weird to compare to a stand-up act but OP is assessing the sentiment of the reaction.

To be fair, he's not trolling us and to some extent, these things are open for interpretation. For example, after the infamous late June presidential debate, OP clearly stated that Joe Biden's performance was a disaster. TV pundits were largely espousing this viewpoint ("our phones are blowing up"). Some of us concurred with this assessment, while others insisted it was just a bad night that would be quickly forgotten. If you went back to the debate thread, some even went so far as to say nobody won that debate when it was patently clear that Joe Biden LOST that debate by a mile.

At this point, OP doesn't care what anyone else says so let's find something else to argue about. 🤣

In order for @Zeze to be correct the people who were in the room and granted interviews AFTER the event would have to be wrong.

What are the odds the eyewitnesses in the room are in a far better position to evaluate what happened vs ANYONE in this forum?

Just so happens that 95% of people here who saw it and commented concur with the eyewitnesses in the room.

People really thought Biden had off night? 😯 Trump lied, gaslighted and made no sense with energy. Biden just made no sense while looking lost with low energy.

Biden had an off year, not an off night. Trump has had an off 60 years plus.

The shock of that night was because Trump being Trump was nothing new. But Biden being senile was hidden, much to the rage of left leadership and rest of America.

I trust Biden's off nights more than Trump. The very night he decided to not seek re-election he was on the phone getting the hostages held by Russia released

It helps to have relationships with other countries.

We're just slinging mud now. I answer, you ignore.

What kind of beer do you like? I like a simple Sam Adams. I even like Blue Moon still although it's mainstream and pretending to be not brewed by Coors.
Boring, gimme something from Stone Brewing, or better yet, a local brewery. Some of the SA stuff is alright, if I can't find anything more interesting.

Sorry, not trying to be mean. Just unsure if it was sarcasm or not. I personally do not think this went well for Trump.

After watching the interview a few more times, and after reading every insightful post in this thread, and after a lot of deep soul searching, I’ve finally come to the conclusion that this definitely did not go well for Trump.

When Trump’s own team pulled him off the stage early, that seemed like a good hint, but I didn’t want to peer too deeply into the tea leaves before consulting the dignified deliberation laid out in this thread.

Yup, local stuff is always fun and good.

You know what surprised me? Heineken in the Amsterdam brewery tour in the Netherlands. It was a mainstream boring beer, but the domestic tap had this... wow refreshingly crisp taste. Me and my buddy were surprised. We kept smacking our lips and comparing.

I still don't drink Heineken here but when I drink it, I can taste that hint of what I experienced in the netherlands.

I don't really want to re-hash the debate, but my personal opinion is that Joe Biden never looked worse before or after that performance. It was an absolute disaster, and it ultimately brought us to Kamala Harris at the top of the ticket.

But my personal opinion aside, my point is that we all watched the same debate and that you still had a range of different opinions on what happened. From a bunch of (D) voters, no less. And this was all on camera, not off view crowd reaction.

1) Why on EARTH does that matter? Didn't your mom say are you going to fall off a bridge if your friends did?
I always thought that phrase was dumb. What's more likely, all my friends spontaneously went insane, or a train is incoming?

From what I saw, the crowd loved Biden in the debate so don’t understand what you mean? 😁

This is like the plot point in the movie where an enemy character comes into clutch save the protagonist from an attack. Then APU_Fusion gives me a wink and I grin knowing that we're BFF warriors for life.

No wait, I misread, APU_Fusion was actually insulting me rather than making a parallel.

In OT or one of the tech forums? AFAIK P&N and OT have always been a free for all, except in thread titles, and that one brief period when they tried to lock down P&N. That did not go well.
