Trump Family has aspiration on controlling the GOP

I'm trying to decide if I like or dislike this. The level of incompetence from Trump Jr makes me think that he's more likely to hurt the GOP if he has able to take over the RNC, but is that worth having to see him around?

Trump Kids are going to have a harder time making inroads especially since they are directly tied to daddy and the Organization illegal shens. Anyone who is a major principle in the Organization is subject to a criminal investigation which appears to have been ongoing for some time.

The higher ups in both political parties tend to not to listen to what voters say (see Trump 2016, Biden 2020), and I have to imagine that most of the republican party establishment is not batshit crazy enough to allow the Trump cancer to continue into the future.

Seems to me like all upside (burn the GOP to the ground), and no downside for us? It's DJT that holds the cult of celebrity; nobody gives a fuck about his kids except possibly a little for the daughter he's always had a crush on LOL.

Although it was mainly Brad Parscale who's blamed for blowing the campaign's cash hoard, Kimberly Guilfoyle is also widely panned as its fundraising chief through the final months when they essentially ran out of money. Let's not even mention her RNC speech.

Their budgeting is worse than Trump Corps. Their legal defense fund is not being used to pay campaign debts.

It's already Trump's party. Mitt Romney isn't going to drive the turnout to get 71 million votes. Neither is Marco Rubio or Josh Hawley or Tom Cotton. The GOP base is loyal to Trump in a way I have never seen, not even with Reagan. I'd be floored if Trump doesn't continue holding rallies to exert his power as the owner of the party and if they try to stop him from getting the nomination in 2024 he'll run third party and burn the GOP to the ground. It's cute seeing Republicans in Washington thinking it's their party again. What part of hostile takeover did they not understand?

Honestly, assuming he is alive and/or not a convicted felon in 2024, I expect Trump to run again but it will not be under the GOP banner. There will be a new "viable" third party of Trumpsters vying for political appointments. The GOP will more or less be reverted to what they were (with a sprinkling of Tea Party and Trump Party ethos) and the Democrats will still be their own worst enemy

Once Trump is out I doubt that Trump or his family will have anything to do with politics. The sting from political failure will be to much. And as much as they love Trump now, I doubt the republican machine would want anything to do with the Trump’s down the road. Donald Trump won’t run in 2024, his attention span is much too short. No, after Washington the Trump’s will return back to fame and fortune and possibly another reality tv show. Trump could even return to selling steaks after four years of all that Trump bull.

There is no way the Trump family or Trump himself are going to give up on 70 million cult members they can try to monetize while Trump can feed on their adoration. There is no more Republican party, they need Trump too.

I actually agree with this. Provided Trump isn't dead or in prison, he isn't going anywhere, and he still owns the rotten soul of the republican party.

You seem to think that the Trump family has the human trait of shame.

That's true and like MrSquished suggested, DJT needs to keep hustling to dig out of the billions in loans he's personally liable for.

Having said that, his clan is nearly as incompetent as its Don, so it's laughable that they think they have political futures without daddy.

True. I dont see any of his off spring with the con-man-super-grifter gene.

By all means, they should have at it. Let the Trumps burn the party down to the ground (as if it weren’t bad enough already) and siphon off every last dollar from the idiot faithful for themselves.

Not gonna lie, Trump could come back in 2024 as a legitimate 3rd party candidate and actually play the spoiler role.

Lol a week after the election and I'm reading about all kinds of grand plans and schemes that will probably not survive the next few months of events. I don't know what's going to happen and neither does anyone else.

In so many ways Trump and his kids are so much like those hokey televangelists that are cashing in on their follower's willingness to part with their hard earned $$$. Both those televangelists and the Trumps must surely think what a bunch of suckers their followers are to be so trusting, so gullible.

Trump likely won't stay in this Country because he'll get locked up if he does. He already knows it. Well, unless he resigns to receive a Pence pardon, which seems unlikely. That won't help him w/ NYS, anyway.
