Trump encourages voter fraud - brilliantly and subtly

Trump kicked off his rally here on Sunday by encouraging his supporters to "make sure" their ballots are properly counted, saying that he is a "skeptical person" when it comes to the state's largely vote-by-mail process.

He then encouraged his supporters to get a "new ballot" in person at a local polling location.
"They'll give you a ballot, a new ballot. They'll void your old ballot, they will give you a new ballot. And you can go out and make sure it gets in," Trump said.
...
"In some places they probably do that four or five times. We don't do that. But that's great," Trump said Sunday, appearing to hint at the possibility of voter fraud in Colorado, a rare prospect Trump has continued to hammer on the stump. It was unclear whether Trump was encouraging his supporters to get a new ballot even if they had already voted.
...
During a rally Saturday in the state, Trump also told his supporters that he has "real problems with ballots being sent" and suggested that the system could enable some people to vote more than once.

There was another article where they showed how he was riling up the crowd. It was him saying that people can't trust when they send their ballots in..suggesting they sure cannot rely on that they send one in where they voted for him, basically implying that the vote is altered or at best, not counted.

(THAT'S WHAT HE SAYS IN THE VIDEO)
"Do you think those ballots are properly counted?"
"Do you think? So when you send them in..do you think they are properly counted"?
[Crowd starts cheering..] "NO!!"

Later he continues telling them to get another ballot.

What is amazing here is the subtlety of what he says and how he says it, smart enough to not directly encourage voter fraud.

The voter fraud HYSTERIA benefits him in multiple ways. It serves to invalidate election results should they turn out not to his liking.

But even better: Some Trumpers are now *indeed* voting multiple times (with a few of them already arrested), "because voter fraud happens", AS TRUMP TELLS THEM because their votes allegedly "magically flip" or are not counted, so they must vote twice "to make sure" <---- I AM NOT MAKING THIS UP

The lady (Trump voter) which they arrested on Friday who was caught said she did it (voted twice) "we need to do this because the votes are rigged". Read again: People (Trumpers) committing voter fraud because of voter fraud hysteria.

There is no question in my mind that this is intended, he has them now hysterical out of their mind and make them believe one vote is not enough...and he KNOWS that not all will do it the legit way and void their old ballot, he KNOWS that from what he says and with the hysteria he is creating that some people WILL vote for him multiple times (and they do!!), he absolutely and 100% knows this. He is ONE smart fucker, folks. This guy's much smarter than he appears. He knows the borders he cannot cross in his speeches but knows exactly what buttons to press with the plebs and what effect it will have. The question is ...how many will do this. This has truly getting beyond insane.

I just saw this at LGF too. If his supporters do this then it's voter fraud. You don't vote over and over with your elections office voiding all but the last ballot. That makes no damned sense...

but then again, Trump has no sense.

The country will be in complete shambles once this election is done. Trump will go down as one of the worst things to every happen to American democracy.

You can watch him telling people to get another ballot in, with the full context here: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/donald-trump-vote-twice_us_5816ad80e4b0990edc31e17f

Not that video evidence is going to convince his followers the system isn't rigged.

I see the subtle hint to perhaps vote more than once. However, I doubt enough people will do it to alter the outcome in any state. The cost-benefit of doing so is ludicrously bad. A single vote has basically no chance of changing the outcome, so the individual voter who is considering this is weighing the risk of going to prison against the infinitesimal benefit of casting an extra vote. "Rigging" an election would have to occur in a systemic way, through tampering with machines and/or corrupt election officials. Individuals won't do it on their own because the incentive isn't there. It's why there have been so few cases of in person voter fraud in the past.

It's all voter fraud bullshit designed to discredit the election & the process.

The institutions of Democracy are all that stand between us & mob rule. Pick one.

Checking the bink.

Obviously you won't be able to vote twice, but instead of Trump boring us with the technological details of how votes are counted in Colorado, instead tells us to try and vote again, when that happens, you'll already have binked in, and your vote rejected.

What would be truly scary, is if somebody mailed in the ballot, and the in person ballot is the one that binks in, that's a frightening thought.

Most of his supporters probably don't know it's a felony to try to vote twice, esp if the Don tells them the second vote "just to be sure" invalidates the first one.
