Whatever good democrats may see in Obama, he failed to deliver on the greatest threat to American democracy, the primacy of money and the moneyed to influence our laws. There are racists and those who use racism as a shield. This means that not all attacks against a person of color have to be racist nor all denials of racism real. Everybody who doesn't examine carefully the nature of his or her opinions opts automatically and robotically with the assumption they are accurate. It is helpful to be deeply thoughtful about ones opinions.
