I wonder how much truth there is in this article?? To even think that Trump would have the balls to call Pelosi knowing full well there conversation could be recorded...you know for national security purposes....

Donald Trump asked Nancy Pelosi if they could “work something out” hours before the House speaker announced a formal impeachment probe, according to reports.

In a phone call on Tuesday, the US president is said to have enquired if they could “do something about this whistleblower complaint,” a reference to allegations that he pressured Ukraine to look for dirt on his political rival Joe Biden.

The Democrat quickly shot down Mr Trump’s plea, according to NBC News political correspondent Heidi Przybyla, who said she had seen a transcript of the conversation.

She told MSNBC’s The Beat with Ari Melber: “The president actually said to Nancy Pelosi: ‘Hey, can we do something about this whistleblower complaint? Can we work something out?’

“And she said: ‘Yes, you can tell your people to obey the law.’ So she quickly swatted that down and made it clear it is full steam ahead.”

Later on Tuesday, Ms Pelosi announced that Democrats were pushing ahead with an official impeachment inquiry. The speaker, who has long resisted calls from some members of her party to launch such an investigation, said Mr Trump had crossed a line by allegedly asking Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky to probe discredited corruption claims about Mr Biden’s son.

The US president’s conversation with Mr Zelensky in July came days after he had personally ordered his staff to withhold nearly $400m (£320m) in military aid to Ukraine, it emerged on Monday.

“The president must be held accountable. No one is above the law,” Ms Pelosi said in a statement announcing the impeachment probe.

The White House subsequently authorised the release of a “fully declassified and unredacted” transcript of his call to the Ukrainian leader. It will be made public on Wednesday.

Mr Trump president has admitting bringing up Mr Biden, one of the Democratic 2020 election frontrunners, during the call but insisted the conversation was “totally appropriate”.
The leaders' discussion about the former vice-president came to light after a complaint was lodged by an intelligence service whistleblower.
The White House initially resisted calls to provide details of the complaint to congress but has now said it will be released on Thursday after it has been reviewed for classified material.

I’d assume both the Presidents calls are recorded and Nancy’s calls are recorded but I’m no expert.
This White House is a mess, no planning, no team work, nobody supports anyone.
I can easily believe this call was made.
If only the President read “Art of the Deal”
Read it years ago because a guy I worked for really liked it. From what I remember it was pretty basic sales 101 stuff about gain consensus whenever possible, plan what you want and what you are willing to give before engaging in discussion.
You know things that would be handy for the President to know.

I really think he is trying to stop her from making a big mistake politically. Better to work with the devil you know that the one you don't. The reasoning and "evidence" is beyond silly to even think about impeachment.

Even now I harken back to the day, the hour, the minute it was announced that Trump won his bid for office and the refrain "Trump won, Hillary lost, get over it" was trending in most every social media platform.

Look at him now. lol

What even would Trump have to offer Pelosi to "work it out"? Not like he has a SCOTUS seat open to give her, or has a Universal Healthcare bill on his desk that he could offer his signature on.

Fear makes some people try most anything. There's testimony today about why the law was broken regarding the handling of the whistleblower complaint which is another piece removed from the Great Big Clusterfuck Janga Tower of this administration.

This makes me think of that scene from Beverly Hills Cop 2 with Gilbert Gottfried.

"Is there something I have in this office that I could hand to you, and that would make you kind of forget you're holding those little impeachment papers?"

If I thought Trump was smart, I would think Trump is doing that as payback to Republican support for him starting to crumble. "Tell them you would impeach me if you could do it anonymously? Fine, I'll bring down Pence with me so you get President Pelosi!"

However, I do not think Trump is smart, so the more likely explanation is that he is grasping for anything to keep his head above water. "Why are you attacking me when Pence has done the same thing?!"

and yes--it's definitely the 2nd one. It's all instinct for him: the constant lying, constant boasting, constant impotence, constant burning down everything and everyone around him just to save himself. it's all he's ever had. pure, retard instinct.

So any Trump memes with that rapper guy 6ix 9ine?

I don’t know much about the guy but it appears he immediately became a snitch the second he appeared before a judge.

Snoop dog pointed out “Martha never snitched”

I know there is a trump meme in this somewhere
