The Trump clown car isn't just stock full of legit clowns; all 4 tires are out and they're headed straight toward a lava pit. They just don't know it yet.

Also the pace of the WaPo and NYT reportage is fucking crazy. The journalistic artillery that's been brought to bear hasn't been seen in my lifetime.

Roger Stone, in his wailing about Il Douche getting 25th'ed over Alzheimers, called him "sharp as a tack."

I think this news, just like 600 or so other things we can point to, actually points to this idiot as being sharp as a bowling ball.

Can't be booted from office fast enough, but it's going to happen.

Been saying it for a while. Dementia can come and advance pretty quickly. Today, in Israel, Trump said "We just got back from the Middle East." I'm not sure if the man even knows he wasn't in Washington D.C. (or Mar-a-Lago).

I'm kind of torn as to whether I want Donny to get the boot, though. Having an ineffective pariah as president might be better than a lucid but deeply misguided Mike Pence.

Trump’s conversation with Rogers was documented contemporaneously in an internal memo written by a senior NSA official, according to the officials. It is unclear if a similar memo was prepared by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence to document Trump’s conversation with Coats. Officials said such memos could be made available to both the special counsel now overseeing the Russia investigation and congressional investigators, who might explore whether Trump sought to impede the FBI’s work.

More documentation of Trump's interference ?

My view: yes, Pence would represent competent evil where the US has partly been saved by Trump's bumbling incompetence. However, if Trump is forced out... poof goes the election chances for Pence, if not the broader Republican party. They chained themselves to Trump knowing how reckless he is, and it'll be hard to escape that stench in every campaign ad or debate.

and the obstruction of justice pile grows larger.

Trump's own appointees as the witnesses?
Oh damn. Comey's credibility or lack thereof matters little if it's merely seasoning for a main dish like this.

This is like the Cosby (etc.) thing. Once someone starts to speak out about the sketchy obstruction bids, more and more surfaces.

Is Mueller going to get this on the record anytime soon? I'm picturing a multi-month process before we can even confirm these news reports.

I think everyone is nervous now. And with a special prosecutor digging in, people may want to get ahead of the curve and are now in CYA mode.

Kinda young, aren't you? ;)

This brings back those halcyon Nixon days....I do remember them well, for the most part.

Trump just doesn't get that he's toxic and as soon as he talks to someone about covering things up, they leak ASAP simply to not risk being called his accomplices.

WaPo is the prime instigator for these sort of character attacks on the President. To directly claim criminal acts.

I'm tired of hearing accusations. I want statements on record.

the character problems are the issue here, not character attacks.

the official response to this story?

“The White House does not confirm or deny unsubstantiated claims based on illegal leaks from anonymous individuals,”

multiple sources have also verified this story.

What you want is irrelevant. What it best for the investigation is what matters. Trump will have his day in court. If he colluded with the enemy will you finally change your tune?
