Trump and his campaign staff desecrate Arlington National Cemetary

Trump has no respect for our troops unless he can use them for personal gain. Remember his disparaging John McCain for being captured? Remember his trashing of a gold star family (Kahns)? Remember he made a widow of a recently killed soldier cry because of his insensitivity? Remember him disparaging a wounded vet he had to stand next to (confirmed by Gen Mark Milley). Remember calling wounded vets "suckers and losers" (confirmed by his former chief of staff Gen Mark Kelly).

Here we are again, Trump's team disparaging Arlington National Cemetary which by law cannot be used for politics. Trump's people shoved a worker at the cemetery because he wanted picture of soldier graves recently killed during the withdraw in Afghanistan.

NPR reported that when a cemetery official tried to prevent Trump campaign staffers from filming and photographing in an area where servicemembers are buried, the Trump staff "verbally abused and pushed the official aside."

"Federal law prohibits political campaign or election-related activities within Army National Military Cemeteries, to include photographers, content creators or any other persons attending for purposes, or in direct support of a partisan political candidate's campaign," the cemetery said.

Why not release it now?

Trump campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung disputed the report. "There was no physical altercation as described and we are prepared to release footage if such defamatory claims are made," Cheung said.

If the worker was physically pushed for doing their job assault charges should be filed

For both the staffer who did it and for trump essentially ordering it

Wait...was the Trump team there at the behest of one (or more) of the fallen soldiers' families? Not saying this makes it right--just saying it's not as much of an insult if they were there with the families.

It shows he is emotionally devoid, he is empty. Only thing that matters is himself.

Who doesn’t give a big thumbs up along with a huge smile while visiting a cemetery? What a weird photo all around though. What's with the two women throwing up the devil horns?

Not an insult to shove a cemetery worker just trying to enforce the law?

Methinks you are a victim of the ever lowering Trump standards of behavior.

Purely hypothetical question.
He goes to the tomb of the unknown soldier and does the exact same thing. What happens? I know what would happen to you or I, what happens to him.

Hook ‘em horns is whatcha gazing upon.

Most likely U of Tex-ass wannabes…graduated from some unknown Christian college while desperately wanting to have gone to Tex-ass.

The thing with that is no one family has say. There are rules there for the sanctity of ALL the families with loved ones buried. That's where it begins and ends.

Arlington:
Our staff member had an incident with Trump campaign attempting to enforce the no filming rule.

Trump campaign:
We have video proof this did not happen!

MAGA:
It is liberal media slander!

Why not release it now?
Well, releasing said video is proof of well, video taping at Arlington, is it not?

Federal law prohibits political campaign or election-related activities within Army National Military Cemeteries, to include photographers, content creators or any other persons attending for purposes, or in direct support of a partisan political candidate's campaign

Arlington National Cemetery reinforced and widely shared this law and its prohibitions with all participants

Federal law (18 USC 111) also makes it a up to a Class A misdemeanor offense to verbally resist, oppose, impede or assault a federal employee in performance of their duties

Physical contact = Class D felony.

Pretty sure said tape went straight into the shredder.

Doing a political photoshoot in the heat of an election over the bodies of our fallen heroes (while also using the deaths as a political point in said election)? You might not say it is right. I'm specifically saying that it is NOT right--whether wanted by family or not. He could have gone and had a private solemn meeting.

The families do not have the right to give that permission.

When we looking at Trump's thumbs up photo, there are several hundred graves. I doubt Trump had consent from all of them.

I am pretty sure that is a crescent moon and a star on the grave directly behind him. Behind the lady with the cane. I think we can agree there is no way Trump received consent for that one. Trump insults that soldier, that soldiers legacy, and his family.

Abomination.

But we all know Trump was the best and bigliest supporter of veterans including medal of honor winners, captured soldiers and especially dead soldiers right Greenman and PC Geek?

The best!

He is the head deplorable for a reason. Him with a thumbs up over the grave of fallen heroes is horrendous. That anyone supports him after that photo shows they are horrendous as he is. That thumbs up was nothing more than a rehearsed marketing photo he has taken a hundred times before.

No respect and dignity all around. It is astonishing any American would vote for that vile man.
