I didn't like Bush's war in Iraq but at least he went down to hospitals to see our wounded warriors rather than making money off them and when 1 asked him if he could become a citizen, Bush performed a citizenship ceremony right then and there.

Not only that, I believe he pushed for congress to make a law that any military personnel and their families would get their immigration process expedited.

And this is a complete slap in the face to those who have and continue to sacrifice so much for our country.

Apparently ICE only reversed its decision because of how bad it looks... once the media got involved!

Amazing how little concern conservatives have for this case.

Too busy concern trolling about Omar or AOC and patriotism to concern themselves with fallen soldiers.

Besides, Trump doesn't prefer soldiers who get themselves captured, and clearly hates (brown) soldiers who get killed.

This isn't surprising at all. Conservaterrorists pretend to love cops, the military, etc.. until it becomes clear they only pretend to care about them while pandering to their hatebase...

Sock puppet thread derail in 3... 2...

Despite the sensationalist thread title, there's really no reason for concern. Gonzalez failed to show for a court hearing. The judge obviously made a mistake in ordering deportation when there was a parole in place order. The mistake was quickly corrected and Gonzalez was admitted back into the US after spending a weekend in Mexico. I'm glad this mistake has been corrected. Hopefully, he won't miss any future court dates and this can be fully resolved.

Don't bring reason into this place. The real truth is President Trump had his itchy trigger finger on this families well being and once he saw a chance to pull the trigger he did so sending this families life into a spiral. I'm sure he laughed the whole time as he did it.......because he has nothing else on his plate except to look over every ICE case across the country and pick and choose who stays and who goes.

Why did Gonzales fail to show for a court hearing and what was the hearing about?

The hearing was from ICE refiling deportation papers on Gonzalez last year.

The missed hearing was due to ICE sending a notice of said hearing to an old address Gonzalez used to live at, which meant he had no prior knowledge of said hearing until ICE managed to show up at his present address to arrest him and deport him.

So, how did ICE screw the pooch and not assure Gonzalez was informed of said hearing if ICE could manage to arrest him at his current address?

This. The only reason this thread exists is to politicize a gold star family.

So much politically opportunistic concern from liberals and conservatives for the military, veterans and gold star families, but not much to show for it.

Clearly you have no concern for Trump abusing gold star families like the Kahn's and the Johnson's. I bet you did nothing but defend Trump. I bet you don't even know who they are.

Clearly you’re TDS is flaring up again. Trump is indefensible. Your politically tribalistic concern for gold star families is duly noted.

How dare people be upset that a father and child were separated by shit conservative policy.
Families get seperated by immigration laws. Two of my soldiers were unable to remain in Germany due to host country immigration laws, seperating them from their children. Please.

Your concern is dishonest.

I agree. Germany at the time would not permit non-EU member applicants to remain if they did not meet the theshold of “high skill”, which they used to protect their working class labor markets.

By brushing off his treatment of gold star families you are defending him
I didn’t brush it off. I condemn it in no uncertain terms. This particular story has other nuances, but checks all the appropriate political boxes.

Your thread is disingenuous.

It’s more of that fine “conservative” logic. Doesn’t matter if they started a fire - Why are YOU complaining about it and WHY aren’t YOU putting it out?

In short, he’s a weasel. Lol.
