From the article-

In a statement on Friday, New York governor Andrew Cuomo called the policy to limit New Yorkers’ access to the trusted traveler programs “arbitrary and capricious” and “an abuse of power,” noting that while thirteen other states and the District of Columbia have similar laws on their books, only New York has been targeted with any new restrictions on travel programs or the processing of exports.

NYS residents are entitled to equal protection last time I checked. Well, unless they're just pawns in another one of Trump's racist base pandering political schemes. There are several other sttes with similarlaws, as well-

I mean, you know, Trumpsters get a little chubby just thinking about fucking them icky browns & anybody interfering. Feels good, apparently.

The fact that DHS has taken this action only against one of many states with similar policies is why they are going to lose in court pretty handily.

It is funny to see small government conservatives lining up to support the federal government selectively enforcing policies to attack unfriendly states though. They really better hope liberals are more responsible and forgiving than they are because if not they are in deep shit due to their reliance on federal money.

No need to choose really, anyone with a brain knows that whenever the Trump administration disagrees with literally anyone else you believe the other party until proven otherwise.
wut

Then why aren’t other states with similar laws being targeted?
Could be a lot of reasons. NY is as a good a state to start with as any.

Don’t say we didn’t try to warn you. You guys really should have considered the consequences of your actions before trying to force the repeal of common sense laws through targeted federal attacks on political opponents.
You mean state governors like Cuomo weaponizing their AGs against political opponents or to further their own political ambitions? Consequence is a double sided door.

lol. I know even you don’t believe this.

The attorney general of New York is an independently elected official who does not answer to the governor. Funny how you’re accusing Cuomo of using an office as a weapon that he doesn’t even control. You just cooked up a conspiracy about something you didn’t even know the very basics of.

Regardless, if you’re talking about New York’s investigations into the Trumps it would be extremely corrupt for them not to investigate considering the extensive evidence of criminal activity. In fact, that’s been the problem for years, Trump and his family getting away with obvious crimes!

Another blatant abuse of Power for someones' Personal benefit. Whole Departments may need to be disbanded to remove the stench.

NY doesn’t get to set immigration policy, its really that simple

AGs are increasingly becoming a political arm of the executives they serve, and Cuomo is one of the biggest hacks in the game.

Regardless, if you’re talking about New York’s investigations into the Trumps it would be extremely corrupt for them not to investigate considering the extensive evidence of criminal activity. In fact, that’s been the problem for years, Trump and his family getting away with obvious crimes!
That’s funny, those crimes were readily apparent to most New Yorkers even back in the 80s and 90s, but Albany didn’t take any interest in Trump back when he was a card carrying Democrat just splashing around in the swamp.

It was an act of the legislature. So are similar laws in 14 other states. You go on like it's NYS picking a fight when it's the Trump admin doing it under the authority of everybody's favorite white supremacist, Stephen Miller.

The federal government has abdicated its authority on immigration because our nation has an addiction to cheap exploitable labor. State legislatures don’t get to circumvent the federal government just because the current administration has chosen to assertively act within the boundaries of its authority. Race is a simplistic way to frame it.

Heh. Except you said it was an act of sovereignty by the states, which it obviously is. They have the right to issue driver's licenses as they see fit.

Yes, and the federal government has a right to establish entry protocols as they see fit.

And to lie about their reasons for doing so, apparently. Shee-it. A person or a corporate entity doesn't even need a driver's license to buy, sell, own or export a car.
