Yeah, no disguising the selfishness here. I can understand vaccinating key people for PR's sake (many anti-vaxxers scream "X leader should take it first" like it's a threat), but rank and file people? No, get the vaccines to the people who actually need them first.

Like the vaccine isn't effective for like 10 days after the second dose. They will be out of the WH by them. So this does nothing to protect the orange monkey

First dose is partially protective round about two weeks from inoculation.

If this was a few months ago I could understand it. Sure, the Republican administration downplayed all this and generally just made the crisis worse. But they are still in charge and it makes sense to keep the command structure safe even if they are corrupt and incompetent. But now? They'll be out of power in a few weeks. By the time the vaccines are rolling out a lot of these people will be nobodies who are neither high risk nor important for the running of the country. Wouldn't it make sense to have Biden's team being a high priority instead? They're the ones who are already working to try and unfuck the country.

Yeah I *think* I’ve heard it is estimated to be 50-60% effective within days of the first dose, second dose is mainly to promote a stronger and longer lasting response however I could be mistaken.

It must be a very confusing time for his followers, both the COVID is a hoax, so why do you need a vaccine, and his anti-vax cadre who now believe that Bill Gates will be able to track them with satellites.

Not when you go around maskless. Why should they get a vaccine first when they will be gone in a few weeks? Even if they caught it in a week they would still live long enough to make Jan 20

Fuck them

Ron DeSantis, who apparently has never taken COVID seriously, is now suggesting that one dose of the vaccine is sufficient

WTF is this idiot babbling about. Seriously, how is this person able to breathe and speak at the same time?
Another fucking non-scientist/non-believer
offering up his wisdom he just pulled of his ass.
There's a reason why some vaccines need to be given in 2 or even 3 shots to have the proper efficacy.

The FDA, CDC and Pfizer scientists need to go on the air tomorrow and smack this ignorant asshole down.

DeSantis just doubled the doses of vaccine available and cut Florida’s costs by 50%; figures that liberals would attack him on his genius move. Liberal jealousy knows no bounds.

And Trump walks this back. Now says the staffers won't jump the line AND that he is not scheduled to take the vaccine (no surprise there).

Well if DeSantis wants Floridians to be guinea pigs in a case study of one dose just like how he wants herd immunity, it is what it is.

As for the orange loser's announcement on WH not jumping the line, he's doing this to make Biden look like a greedy person because it will be necessary for him to get it immediately. He's hoping general public will get angry at him for jumping the line.

So they'll still get it first but now he'll just lie about it.
