Nice try. From that link:

In other words, Trump ordered and approved the payment. Why it got held up in the Treasury Department we do not know yet.

I'd also just like to highlight one specific statement for further discussion:

So, in his pursuit to make it seem like he is some great hostage negotiator, Trump had his admin start paying off dictators and terrorists in secret and hiding the payments as hospital expenses. So much for not negotiating with terrorists I guess.

What a fucking disgrace. Oooh, I know, someone tell Turmp to pay for it with funds from his charity! ;)

Bottom line is they don't know if it was paid or not. I understand why they agreed in order to try and save his life. If you can't see this then you are just being obtuse.
It does say that monies were exchanged to secure the release of other victims though. That's pretty alarming.

I agree if true.

"Yun said he understood that money had been exchanged in previous releases of U.S. prisoners and was justified as "hospital costs," but he gave no further details."

This isn't what I would call verified facts " he understood". More details would be better and some verifiable facts.

That's true, but Joseph Yun isn't just some random guy on the internet.

The new standard blueprint for foreign leaders like Kim, diplomats and foreign ministers etc. for dealing with Trump was highlighted in a tweet by David Frum, in which he quoted an excerpt from a FoxNews interview by Chris Wallace with the Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif:

[ZARIF] “Chris, the people of Iran admire your very very handsome president. Very tough, very high IQ. He truly has made America great again.”

[WALLACE] “Mr Zarif, do you really expect anyone to believe this loathsome flattery?”

[ZARIF] “Oh yes”

Trump will probably also pardon "Bloody" Gina if Assange has a freaky fatal waterboarding "accident" does anyone expect anything other than kid-glove handling of people who engage in torture from the likes of Trump?

That's like expecting a scorpion not to sting you if you keep on poking it with your fingers.

I'm confident that Trump promised $2 million and then later reneged. This is how he rolls.

Get work done, then stiff the contractor. Then threaten the contractor.(with being sued)

This is the only business model that Trump knows. So of course this is what he does to other countries. There is a reason why Trump had to stop building anything, and just started selling his name for buildings; No contractor would ever deal with him again without 100% of the money up front, because Trump had a history of screwing over contractors once the work was done.

Bad actors now know that if they kidnap a U.S. citizen they may not get cash, but they'll at least get an I.O.U. which may be worth the risk.

Hey, Trump. Remember the dictator you're in love with?...In lieu of your firing cupid arrows - Kim fires missles. And your response shows you are completely delusional. You are getting played, fool, and you're making the world more dangerous by the minute.

I'm waiting for a tweet something like:

"Wow - the liars and haters are working overtime with FAKE NEWS about the genius Kim Jong-Un, who has said many Great things about me, firing Missiles, when the only crimes committed are by crooked Hillary! Remember the 18 Angry Democrats!"

I dunno. Kim is cozying up to Vlad. You know what happens when your two BFFs get together and talk about you behind your back. It ain't pretty.

Maybe Trumps 2 million dollar ransom check bounced?

The timing of Kim's meeting with Putin and his missile launch is probably more than just coincidental.
