Yeah, I don't know where johnnn gets that they were fooled. Maybe some of them were but most of them weren't and the ones that still support him certainly aren't. I asked a person I know why he supported him and he said because trump would be the guy to burn it all down and if we are being honest, trump is doing just that. I don't quite get the sentiment and why anyone would want to destroy our country like that but that's what they want.

Is he a bible thumper? A lot of them honestly believe WWIII needs to happen so that Jesus will beam them all up to heaven to hang out.

Ohhh lord, this made me lol:

President Donald Trump: Now, I like NATO, NATO's fine. But you know what? We shouldn't be paying almost the entire cost of NATO to protect Europe. And then on top of that, they take advantage of us on trade. They're not going to do it anymore. They understand that.

Lesley Stahl: Okay, but are, it does seem this, are you willing to disrupt the Western Alliance? It's been going for 70 years. It's kept the peace for 70 years.

President Donald Trump: You don't know that. You don't know that.

Lesley Stahl: I don't know what?

President Donald Trump: You don't know that.

Lesley Stahl: Is it true General Mattis said to you, "The reason for NATO and the reason for all these alliances is to prevent World War III?"

President Donald Trump: No, it's not true.

Lesley Stahl: What's not true?

President Donald Trump: Frankly, I like General Mattis. I think I know more about it than he does. And I know more about it from the standpoint of fairness, that I can tell you.
The bolded part says it all.

Ok I watched the interview, my take:

  • The interviewer was 100% out to get him, no question about that. It was less of an interview and more of an attempt at a gotcha hit piece. She wanted some sort of major thing said that everyone will reference back and she’ll get the glory of doing it. He rightfully called her out on it, if I were him I’d have walked out.

This was the same bs that was said about interviews with Palin. "gotcha journalism" etc. Usually was defined as asking her a legitimate question to which she'd give some rambling beauty pageant answer that showed she had no clue what was going on.

UC could paint the Devil himself as the victim of the fake news media, the enemy of the people. He'll do that for all the members of Team Red.

  • Trump is being Trump. He’s salesman first and foremost and his answers show that. It’s great, the best, was shit before me and I saved it, etc. Lots of bs.
  • His answers how he feels personally toward Kim and Putin seemed like a fair answer but she kept prying "aren’t they bad guys, say that, say that".
  • His answers about Sessions and Mueller further lead me to believe the investigation will be terminated.
  • I don’t like his answer about the Saudis
  • I reeeeeally don’t like his answer about global warming. "It’ll change but it might go back". Dangerous thought throughout the right. It fuels a disdain towards the scientific community which is a sad and dangerous thing. The number one issue facing humanity but we ignore it and say it’s bs.
  • It seemed highly edited, I’d love to hear the unedited interview.
Still waiting for you to give an example of a "gotcha" question. I'll go first with an excerpt posted by Mixmaster...

Lesley did her homework on Trump and was not going to let him get away with his usual generic dodge of a question and pin him down. Why or how is that a gotcha, trying to illicit a real answer from this guy? I think Stahl did a great job

Analysis of Trump's 60 minute interview and why Lesley Stahl did such a fantastic job. Shortly after Trump got elected he said the following
Earlier this year, Stahl revealed a conversation she’d had with the then-candidate shortly before the interview in which he told her that he constantly railed against the “fake news” “to discredit you all and demean you all, so when you write negative stories about me, no one will believe you.”

UC and other undying Trump loyalists continue to bow to this kind of nonsense. Even now UC claims her interview was just a gotcha session. I for one appreciate Stahl using Trump's own words to expose this empty suit. In this same article read the humorous response from Trump's BFFs at Fox and Friends.
