Trump’s decision to politicize COVID now killing White America

White Americans are now the most likely group to die from COVID, because they are the least likely to stay vaxxed and take precautions.

Remember back when 4 weeks into lockdowns, the media kept talking about how COVID was killing people of color faster, and all of a sudden it was no longer a concern of the GOP? Kushner decided states should be left to fend for themselves as it was a “blue state issue” and the lockdowns were now worse than the virus?

Welp, turns out COVID was killing people of color faster in the early waves in large part because they weren’t getting enough oxygen compared with white patients. See, another study came out and determined that pulse oximeters, the medical devices hospitals rely on to check blood oxygen, well, they were really designed for white people. They don’t work as well for people with darker skin. The net effect was that a darker COVID patient with dangerously low blood oxygen might present a more normal SpO2 reading compared with a white person.

This was less of an issue in later waves, as hospitals became more adept at treating COVID symptoms and more people were vaxxed.

Per CDC data, over 30k Americans have died from Covid in the last three months.

It stands to reason that the majority of these deaths are old people. So who is dying more, old white voters, or old black voters?

And hundreds of Americans are still dying every day from Covid as we head into midterms.

The main issue is while there is a difference in COVID deaths vs political leanings, spreading out those deaths across the country means changes in right vs left of just 10’s or 100’s of votes.

It would only affect outcomes in counties which are borderline 50/50 right vs left voting.

Yup, unfortunately the insane gerrymandering nationwide limits the effects of the right wing tilted Covid deaths.

As long as it kills the Right Americans, I'm ok with that. Boot straps, personal responsibility, and all that hubbub.

You are probably right, but about 750,000 Americans have died from Covid since Nov 2020. I think it will at the very least have an impact on the general election in 2024.

Are these numbers consolidated and if so I wonder if Richard Rowe was included? Sure is a shame Dick passed away after his vaccination. Dick seemed like a classy guy.

Almost all medical, cosmetology and pharmaceutical research has been based on decades of studies of Caucasians.

I found this out more than 30 years when I developed an enlarged heart, which was diagnosed soon afterwards as cardiomyopathy.

I believe medical science had advanced to the point where really excellent specialists now recognize that people are as a diverse as the foods we eat.

Which may call for different treatment. But one's first line of defense is your primary physician and if hospitalized, an attentive and responsive nurse.

But I'm no doctor. That's just been my experience.

The more right-wingers willfully decided to commit suicide via COVID. Honestly don't give two shits. Their choice
The more right-wing authoritarians who self-disenfranchise themselves, the better for the country and the world.

I still wear a mask when I'm in any large retail business, from Lowe's, Home Depot, grocery stores, etc.

I do pay attention to other customers and if they are masked or not.

Lately only about 20% or less are wearing a mask, but of those that are, about half are non-white.

I respect your view that people have their right to a choice.
What is your point? You think you are making a point? Your statement is meaningless.

Of course people have choices. They're all kinds of choices that people can make, ones that don't affect others and ones that do, as one example. Do you understand the difference between those? So that your blanket statement is idiotic off the top?

I had Delta, then tripled vaxxed, and then got omnicron. Between vaccines and natural immunity in not going to wear masks anymore.

I've filled my card, initial 2 vaccines, then boosted twice. I still wear a mask in large retail businesses.

I've never had any variety of COVID.
