My specs-well, you can click below to see my specs; my friend's specs, Athlon...something, not entirely sure, 40GB Maxtor drive, onboard sound. He has same version of Nero I have on my system, and every audio cd I make (where files are recorded either as .wav or .mp3) totally works on regular stereos. On my friend's system, his cd's only work on PC, his home and car radio rejects every cd he makes, but always plays the ones burned on my system.
I know his burner isn't the problem, it used to be mine! The cds I made with it actually worked everywhere...same cd media, same program, the burn process on his system seems to go smooth enough, no errors or anything - so what could be the problem...?

Could he be burning the CD's as just data CD's with MP3 files on there? Or is he actually burning an Audio CD where the files are converted for use in his cd player/radio, etc....

Go over to your friend's place and try making an audio cd yourself. It sounds like your friend is the most probable cause for the error.

I actually thought that, which is why I came to post here, cause I took a brand of CD-r over myself, which I had burned successfully on my system recently and had also used before, when his burner was in my system. And it didn't work, chose Audio CD, did everything exactly the same as I do at home but it didn't work....any ideas?

I don't remember, I should have noted that, it's so easy to burn on my own system, I can make a cd half in my sleep.
I'm heading over to his place tomorrow, see if I can figure this out somehow...thanks all:)

Is that an option in Nero or something I have to set in the Device Manager?
Incidentally, what is DAO mode?
