My wife and I have been looking at new homes for 3 months. We have bid and lost on three homes...very crazy (looked at roughly 60 homes).

We are considering either building or moving into a "move-in ready" home that is built brand new in this subdivison. We haven't decided just yet.

Now, I have been using www.realtor.com religiously. Trulia I check from time to time but they are always up to date. My question is, on trulia.com, they have listings for "new construction" with a picture of a drawn version of the home. Does this mean they already built the home or I can "purchase and build the home"?

zillow.com and redfin.com has been nice tools to look at the trends and history the value/sales of each property. Not sure if that helps though, but I know that now is the time to buy until may or so. It seems houses value peak during summer-fall times, then drop again at the end of the year, and drop further until june the following year.

I know my post haven't been really helpful though. I'm looking as well.

I have been using those sites as well for price comparisons. My question is on trulia, when it says "new construction", does it mean it is already built?

I think it means you have to build a home per zoning laws? heh, no idea. The ones I've encountered were just blank lots with a potential blueprint? Sorry, I honestly have no idea. I hope someone here can help. oh and free bump :p
