Nope, it's become an industry standard for 3d lighting and model design, that and VT.
That's fully 3D modelled, other than the thought balloon (if that wasn't clear already)Originally posted by: blazerazor

Yeah, my trueSpace history begins with my Cyrix PR166 refurbthat I bought at the local Egghead store. I bought trueSpace 2 out of their bargain bin for $20
and eventually bought a version upgrade from trueSpace 2 to trueSpace 4.2 (and then they patched it to 4.3). So I'm properly licensed.
I've thought about moving up to the later versions, but as a mere casual doodler, I haven't been able to justify it yet. If I had lots of money I'd consider 3DSMax or Lightwave, but I don't.
It's like the Ford Pinto, you never know when it'll blow up on you :Q I'll save a scene like the "donuts" scene there, and re-open it, and my IK model will look like there was a very bad malfunction of the Star Trek transporter :QOriginally posted by: FrustratedUser

What do you think about it? I've just been playing around with 3.2 so far.

I guess if they're giving it away for the price of a magazine anymore, then find that magazineand see what you think of it. I used to have trueSpace 3/SE and I wish I could give you a feature comparison, but it was a long time ago (plus that was the limited "SE" version).
