i did the product comparison on newegg and read the different descriptions on the antec site but i'm not sure what the difference is between them. Could somebody explain to me?
 
True Power has a better rating. I think it has to do with build quality, using better parts and being more stable under stress etc

Extreme overclocking forums has a section devoted to power supplies with a recommended list that gets updated everynow and then. They have some recommended budget, sli, performance, etc. psus.

The truepower II 550 is rated as good.
