TrueLife on an Inspiron 9300 worth it?

What the title says. Is that glossy coating crap (aka TrueLife) worth the extra $190 or so it costs? I'm guessing it's mainly an anti-glare coating?

Thanks.

No, it's a whole different display. It has much more resolution and the chracteristic are different. It has more vibrant colors and is brighter but it reflects more.

I would say the high-gloss displays are better both in dark rooms and in a bright environment (outside, sunshine), but probably not so much in moderate, normal light conditions.

$190 !!? that's crazy.

is it the same thing as "BriteView", "TruBrite", and "XBrite" ?

I know HP lets you upgrade to their "BriteView" for normally less than $30 bucks. $190 is insane!

It's more than just gloss....one is xga and the othe uga. Much higher res along with the glossy coating. That's what you're paying for. I find the res is too high on the uga....I'd save your $$$$.....
