True Upgrade from a GTX 590?

Hi guys, i am getting the upgrade ich again and i have been looking at benchmarks. Is there a True upgrade from the 590 i have without spending $600+ ? Say i was to get $350 out of my 590. $450 to $500 range card worth upgrading too?

I'm going from a 580 to a 780, but the 590 actually outperforms the 780 in some situations, so I wouldn't bother.

590 is still rather strong. Only down side is the 1.5g of vram. Wish all 580s came with 3 standard.

Two 7970GE(Oc'ed to past 1Ghz). Requires Two Slot, but is better than pick a 290x to have "only" 40-60% increase in FPS.

Yea this seems to be the dilemma, a very good card that is possible to last 5 year's, but Nvidia support...doesn't even support shadowplay. $900+. But less then 2 years later. No support.

The Gigabyte OC 780ti outperforms the 690 in some instances....I would ditch the 5 series at this point.

I went from a 590 to 7970's in xfire. Sold the 590 for $350 and bought the 7970's for $600. Gained about 30-40% performance for $250.
