True Romance

I was just sitting down putting my socks on before I head out the door for school, and this was on the channel I woke up to. I watched the intro deal where they list the actors ect in the begining of the movie, and it's got Brad Pitt, and Sam L Jackson, and was written by Quiten Tarantino.

So, has anyone on ATOT seen the movie, and is it any good?

Brad Pitt plays a very trivial role (the bum on the couch) and I don't remember SLJ in it at all.

It's a fun movie. Quite violent though, so not much of a date movie. 🙂

Gary Oldman is awesome in his role as Drexel.

And the scene with Dennis Hopper and Christopher Walken is one of my favorite movie scenes ever.

Extremely overrated by geeky types like those on AT, but not a horrible movie. Worth seeing.
I don't disagree at all, but I do believe that the scene I mentioned above is one of the great movie scenes of all time.

Hey, takes one to know one. And we can smell our own kind.

Stinky.

Really good flick. May be in my top 10.

 Yeah, if not in the top 10, real close.

True Romance: killing a pimp in his own house for your wife, while she brutally fights to the death with a mob hitman. now THAT is what love is.

One of Brad Pitts finest roles. Great movie and very Quentin-esque. Rappaport is good in this one as well.

That's cause Quentin was one of the writers.

The only part of the movie that got me interested was the Mexican standoff at the end, the rest was a bit dull.

SLJ played a very minor role in the movie as well. Other big namers with small niche roles: Gary Oldman, Christopher Walken, Dennis Hopper, Val Kilmer, James Gandolfini.

Great movie, OP. A definite must see. Tarantino wrote it but sold the script so he could fund his directorial debut, Resevoir Dogs.

** SPOILER ALERT **

So, when a man who knows he is going to die at the hands of some mafioso, asks for a cigarette and proceeds to tell a story that massively slurs the Sicilians while enjoying his last cigarette in the hope that his story will rile them up enough to kill him quickly, you feel like a nap?

** END SPOILER ALERT **
