I got this idea while posting in the Hardware forum. So post your best freaky story here! It needs to meet one condition though. It has to be true! No urban legends, or my friends friend did this, or so forth. So here is mine:
It was the summer of 1996 and during that time I lived in Carrollton, Texas which is a suburb of Dallas. Anyways, I had a season pass that year to Six Flags, so my friend and I decided we had nothing better to do that day so we headed off to Six Flags. I noticed that I was low on fuel, but I figured I should be able to get there and fill up when I get back. The day went along as expected, and we headed back around 5PM that afternoon. The trip takes about 30 minutes there and 30 minutes back. Here is where the freaky stuff happens. On our way back, I notice I'm extremely low on gas, but the red light hasn't come up let so I figured I'd just drive slow to conserve gas. About 2/3 the way home on the highway, I notice that my car isn't accelerating anymore and it's actually decellerating when I press the gas. I look at my dashboard and all the lights are lights are lit up (engine, oil, gas). So here I am on the highway going 55MPH and slowing down to almost a crawl. Luckily, the highway was going down a slight hill and at the end of the hill was an exit. So I pull into the right lane with my hazard lights flashing as I'm rolling down this hill to the exit. I look in my rear view mirror and see another car pull up behind me with her hazard lights flashing waving her arms out the window. Ok, so great, this person will help me if I don't make it to the exit. Luckily I did manage to roll to the exit and there happened to be a Texaco station right there. The other car followed me right to the gas station. Here is where I got freaked out. The lady gets out of her car and asked me... Did you run out of gas too? Is that coincidence that we both happen to run out of gas that the same time? Or is it one of those unexplainable things? Usually, my car tells me if I'm low on gas, but that time it didn't. Weird.
