"True Flat Tube"

For the longest time I thought TFT stood for true flat tube, but acronymfinder.com states that it stands for"Thin Film Transistor"..which I guess is the right definition.

Has anyone else ever heard of TFT referred to as true flat tubE?

...the first ref.to TFT I recall came in the form of FORD TFT and TFI ignition modules..thin film ig.modules and TFT ig.modules..EEC4. Many TFT modules are made for aircraft..and ofcourse the TFT LCD display...
