True connect speed in windows 2000?

I have a question and problem that I KNOW has an easy and simple answer... but of course its NEVER that simple for me!

When I dial into my ISP I get my port connection speed (115,000 bps) instead of my actual connect speed. Anyone know how to fix this? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. It feels like my modem is going slow and i want to find out what it is connecting at...it is a generic modem so I dont even know if it is v.90 upgraded yet... 🙂

Again, thanks for any help!!
