Trucks are driving around my town and through my school with HUGE signs that say...

There's 5-10 trucks with these huge signs on the back. They are driving around town all day and advertising this crap. One truck had a teenage passenger with a video camera taping the people drive by.

I think this is total and utter bullsh!t, and it makes me seriously want to punch them in the crotch with a razor blade. Screw these bible toting elitest assholes
 
They have much of a right to say their piece as we do ours. I don't agree with them, do not get me wrong, but I don't see why violence is justified.

. . . unless they make the first move.

I don't think the problem main problem here is their views, but how they express them. They have every right to have their views, but I also have a right not to have their views rammed down my throat by a convoy of 16-wheelers.

Exactly. They have every right to have and even express in a retarded manner, said views. However, lets face it...these people are fvcking assholes. Most normally adjusted people, religious or otherwise...wouldn't waste their time building big stupid signs to put on their truck and then driving them around like they're in a sage wisdom mobile. Attention Whores!
 
They are closet homosexuals. They hate the fact that homosexual lifestyle is in the spotlight, better chances of their cover being blown.
 
People that obsess so much about homosexuality are obviously in the closet, unable to come to terms with their homosexuality
 
I am a very devoted Christian, and have been most of my life.

That said, Christians who do this sort of crap disgust me for a couple of reasons.

1. The Bible tells Christians that it is not our right or job to judge other people. Only God, being the perfect being that he is, has that right. This is explicitly stated in the Bible, but a lot of Christians conveniently choose to ignore it.

2. (this is closely related to #1) Christian belief states that any one sin is just as bad as any other sin. These Christians are choosing to focus on one particular sin that disgusts them, but they no doubt have committed other sins that are equally serious in the eyes of God. For example, they are judging other people, which the Bible explicitly tells us to not do.

If these self-righteous Christians would get down to the basics of what Jesus said was really important (love yourself, love others, love God), then Jesus' real message would vastly impact the world. Instead, they are giving God and Christians a bad name by not following the teachings that they espouse.

What part of CA is this. I'm from Central CA, Merced County to be exact, which is rather conservative and has a lot of Fund A Mental Cases and even there Trucks with those types of stickers isn't a common site.

I'm not saying it's accepted but it is tolerated. Of course I really haven't spent much time there since before this Gay Marriage push. Maybe this is a backlash to all that hubbub.
