Truck's acting up

Got my truck back from the shop on Monday afternoon. They said they wanted $1200 to replace the evaporator and compressor to fix my A/C. Fortunately it's not that hot here now, so I can live without A/C. But Wednesday, leaving work, my ABS light stayed on along with my e-brake indicator light. Any one know what that means other than ABS is not working?

I'll check my brake fluid. Didn't think of that. Brakes feel fine, though.

Speedometer is normal. And I thought the speedometer was run off of a gear in the tranny. Didn't realize there would be a sensor on the diff.

Speedo is run of the rear diff sensor.
the sensor is hardwired to the CAB module, then the speedo info is bused to the cluster.
get a close look at the speedometer while your taking off from a stop..make sure its smooth all the way from zero..
its common for the sensors to get weak, and only work properly at higher speeds...Like from 10MPh plus.

if you see the speed suddenly go from zero, up to 10 or 15 and then become a smooth transition, ..its a safe bet its on the way out.
