Well last week my truck got rear ended. At first i thought i would just need a new bumper but now after really looking at it the frame is bent where the hitch is connected. To give you an idea how much hard I was hit, my hitch cover was in the guys radiator (this is a cover not the ball, the cover is flat). Anyhow when i hear frame damage I started to freak but the guy told me they can easily fix it. Am i freaking out for no reason? I have kept the truck in perfect shape and this is the first "blemish" it has had in its 7 year life!

A good shop can fix frame repair without an issue. I've seen many uni bodys fixed and they are alot more sensitive to "frame" damage.

Make sure after its fixed to tell teh repairman of any quirks in handling so he can maybe adjust it more if they didn't test drive it or you notice it.

Do you know if the value of my truck just plummeted to nothing? I should also say that the guy told me that the truck will still be able to tow and haul any load it was able to before the accident. He told me he's seen much worst. Of course this is my vehicle and im not happy that its "scared" for life.

If you claim it on insurance yea the value will more than likely go down, its like any car being in an accident.

I don't see the rear of the frame being that big of a deal if its before the leaf spring mounts.

For towing its slightly annoying if they don't do it right your trailer tracks funny. New frame racks though use alot of lasers and pinpoints to get very good accuracy.
