The true meaning of Christmas is watching crappy animated specials that everyone hates, yet everyone continues to watch year after filthy stinking year because that just what you do at Christmas. And now you know.

It is extremely unlikely that Christ was actually born on Dec. 25, or even in winter for that matter. More likely he was born in the spring.

December 25th is the birthday of Mithra, the Roman God of Light. It was adopted for Christmas to make the transition to Christianity easier.

Well the question was about Christmas. Thus Christmas is to honor Christ's birth. Maybe if he asked about what December 25th means, then we could say the birth of Mithra. Even if Christ wasn't born on December 25, the meaning of Christmas is still to recognize his birth
