Does anyone know of a trustworthy program to test a webcam with (apart from Skype)?
I've got a weird problem to solve on a Win81 laptop; the webcam driver is a standard Windows one (and that's what the laptop manufacturer expects you to use), and Device Manager reckons that it's fine, however if I go into Skype's options and then the video/webcam area, the black box momentarily appears with a progress/loading type animation, then the box disappears, and reappears, in a loop.
There's nothing noteworthy in the Windows event logs. I'm curious about this one, I don't think I've encountered a faulty webcam before. The laptop hasn't had any screen replacement type work done on it, so there goes the possibility of disturbed electronics (probably).
