Troubleshooting vid card or something else?

I'm getting constant vpu recovery errors with a Rosewill Radeon 9600.

I was using it in my machine - but certain games would crash when using the card. I got a geforce and did not rethink it for a long time. I rebuilt another machine, and all seemed well for a while, now everytime certain games go into 3d mode the vpu recovery thing is set off.

Probably the vid card?
