Troubleshooting surround sound system...

Well here's the deal. Ive got this old surround sound system that I hijacked from my dad awhile back. I got some hookups and got it running off my computer in my room. Worked really nice. Everythings going good and then I moved from Michigan to Florida. I got my stuff the other day, hooked it up and noticed that 2 of the speakers weren't working. At the time I didnt have time to figure it out so I just shrugged and went about my business with 4 of the speakers working. Today I was listening to music just fine. I went and ate dinner when I came back and turned on some music I noticed that only 1 of the speakers was now working out of the 6 plugged in. I initially thought maybe its just dirty in the back. So I cleaned it up the best I could and tried again. This time I tried one speaker in all the spots, it only worked in the center spot. So I got it narrowed down to the actual box having something wrong with it. I just can't figure out what, or how to go about fixing it once I do figure out what it is. Any ideas/suggestions on what I should do?
