Troubleshooting an odd noise...

Just yesterday I started hearing what sounds like a low whimpering (kind of like wind howling outside a window but much more quiet) coming from my PC. I opened up the case, and unplugged each case fan, my HDD's, and my optical drives.

The only other moving parts on this machine are the fans for my PSU and my CPU. I put my ear to both of them, and it didn't sound like it was coming from either. Could this be something other than a fan about to go? What do you suggest I could do to figure this out?

It could be the sound of air moving to or our of your case. Kind of like the effect of having leaking seals on your window. Just a guess...

Well, I heard it when I opened my case up, and it never used to make this sound. But interesting thought!

Any other ideas?
