Troubleshoot of AGP slot

I got a refurbed card from Newegg.com put it in and fired it up...had issues so I shut down and will return. Been pretty standard for refurbs lately. Then I put in my other AGP card and fired it back up. Won't get into windows. It will do all the boot up stuff till right before windows. I get the Windows XP logo but that is it. I am pretty sure my AGP slot is OK considering I see stuff right before it gets into windows. What would make it not display when windows comes on though??

Perhaps the AGP slot is bad and the other card damaged it somehow...who knows.

Whew...got it. Installed an old PCI card. Used driver cleaner 3 and rebooted with PCI card. Shutdown then put in AGP card again then reboot...AG

you gotta blow on the AGP slot NINTENDO style 😀 jkjk. Your AGP slot is okay man, just be easy when pushing your AGP cards into it and even more careful when releasing it from the slot as it can cause physical damage to the metal connectors.
