I just installed winTV usb in win2k. However, it seems that if I try to open another program or
generally it works, but sometime just randomly I get the blue screen of death with a stop error. It also says "beginning physical dump of memory" or something like that? Does anyone know what possibly could be causing this? I have i have 128mb of ram so dont think it could be the ram> any suggestions?
thanks

Hmm.. I was going to buy this tv tuner too. Does anyone else have that same problem? If so, I'll hold off on getting this POS.

For sound, make sure the line-in input isn't muted in the volume control window (lil yellow speaker in system bar). But u probably already knew that. I'm not sure what else.
Did u install the drivers correctly? This's what I do. Download the .exe from hauppauge. Don't run it, but rather, unzip it to a directory. Run the hardware setup wizard, choose "other" device, and tell it u have a disk. Point it to the unzip directory and go from there. It'll install your driver for you.
Go back to hauppauge and download the actual TV program and just install that.
Ok, the BSOD...I can't get around it and nobody else can. This's an old topic, if u search the archives. What I've found is that if u don't multitask, you'll be ok. Meaning, don't drag the window around unnecessarily, or don't switch to another program/window. I have a feeling that the drivers don't refresh the screen properly so it frags.
Also, when you do get that mem dump, next time you boot, find that dump file and delete it. I have 192mb ram and it was all dumped to a 192mb file...POS.
Anyways, have fun w/your new TV. I've found that I'm now able to waste more time on my computer instead of doing hw...
