troubles with embedded videos

I just reinstalled Windows and for whatever reason, videos which are embedded into browsers don't display properly. Their colors are often green, violet, yellow and psychedelic(for the lack of a better term) I think I may be missing some codec but I have no idea as the videos play but the only thing wrong with them is the color. A websites with which I have these problems is gametrailers.com. All the videos don't display proprperly and its driving me mad...

do you have the latest drivers for your video card? (manufacturer's drivers, not windows)
