Troubles with bidpay.com

Has anyone used this?

I won an ebay auction and through I'd try it out since the seller accepted it. I went to bidpay.com and setup a Buyers account. I received a confirmation e-mail to activate the account, and activated the account. I then logged out and COULD NOT log back in.

So I clicked the button at the top - "Click here to pay for your auction." I used the same information that I used in creating the new account. Entered credit card info, the seller's info, everything - the transaction completed and I even received a confirmation number at the very end. Happy day!

However - I did not receive one single e-mail confirming the transaction. I STILL can't login, and have received no e-mails other than that first one to activate the initial account. I've tried the Password Reminder form, and it says it can't find my e-mail address! I left a request of info using "Contact Us" on Saturday night, right after all of this, just making sure things were cool. I sent them another e-mail today via the customer service address given in their Terms and Conditions.

SO - QUESTION...is this normal?! (I hope not!). Since its been 4 days now, I have to make absolutely sure they don't send the seller money, because I'm about to send out my own damn money order. What steps should I take. What really disturbs me is that the credit card transaction completed successfully and it even went through a verification page, where it sat for a minute checking the card...then went to a second page saying transaction complete! Unfortuantely, I didn't keep my confirmation number, but we're talking $150 here, so its rather important that the seller doesn't get paid twice!

What would you recommend?

email the seller and see if he received a payment notice. Normally both of you should receive one.

The reply I received from tech support included my user/password for a SELLERS account. I can login now, but of course there's no history of an order and darnit - my card was charged today in the amount I ordered, but I still haven't received an e-mail confirming it!!

The seller hasn't replied at all in 48 hours either. This isn't good...I'm never doing this again!

Someone sent me a bidpay payment last week and I never got the final confirming email from bidpay. I have a highly reliable email account as well so it's not a problem on my own end. However, by logging on the bidpay website, it did show the transaction from a seller's point of view. I suggest you email the seller and ask them to go on bidpay, look if the payment has been made -- play dumb, don't say you have no idea if it was processed at all.

Sure enough - the seller received payment last night and e-mailed me concerning shipment...

I guess its just very annoying cause I really had no clue, and it took them nearly 5 days just to charge my account.

I'll never use this again. bidpay.com sent me ONE e-mail during this entire transaction, and it had nothing to do with $$$ - that's BS, especially in today's virtual world of money transferring. Its basically paying someone else extra money for driving to the bank on my way to work...
