Hi
I installed an Athlon XP 3000+ 166 MHz in my A7V8X-X motherboard.
The CPU core speed should be about 2167 MHz, actually it is about 1740 MHz.
The details:
The OPN of the Athlon XP 3000+ is: AXDA3000DKV4D
BIOS: AWARD Medallion V6.0 Revision 1013
Bios settings:
CPU Speed: Manual,
CPU Frequenzy Multiple: 13.0x,
CPU External Frequenzy:166/33,
Memory Frequenzy: 333.
Central Brain Idenfier reports:
clock speed 1739,62 MHz
Host bus clock 165,68 MHz
FSB speed 331,36 MHz
Clock ratio 10,5
Everest Home Ed. reports:
CPU clock: 1739,52 MHz
CPU Multiplier: 10,5x
CPU FSB: 165,67 Mhz
Memory Bus: 165,67 Mhz
For me it seems that there ist something wrong with the CPU Multiplier. If I set the value for the multiplier above 10,5 the result is always the same: the diagnose programs report 10,5
Could someone tell me what to do?
